Howdy all, fourth challenge incoming. Decided to jump away from the "Journey of a Moisture Farmer" thread, and just start basing it off of movie titles for fun, that said there won't be much theme in the challenge itself.


 


Main Quest


Get into Healthy Shape by Wedding to look good in a Kilt


 


Motivation


To feel good about myself, gain self-confidence, and finally become the awesome person that lays within.

Perform at least 2 Different Exercises at least 3x a Week [STR:3|STA:2]

So my semi-poor care of myself over the past two weeks (sometimes eating grains and ice cream once a few times and no exercise) has caused some backtracking, but nothing I haven't seen happen during a challenge either, so I should hopefully be able to get back to where I was relatively quickly and get back on track.

Great quest!:) I love a man in a kilt! My man actually has a kilt!:) I am right there with you in trying to give up ice cream and cheese... my motto is: everything tastes better with cheese or chocolate! LOL

I've already got a kilt, and some people profess that I look good in it already. But it's only Black Watch (not the tartan of one of the various clans I could proclaim to belong to). But I'm hoping to make a strapping figure come next September.

 

Thankfully my motto is about Bacon, but that's been reduced in my diet for the time being. So we'll see how it goes.

When I went to King Richard's Faire, I had such a damn impulse to get a kilt and I don't know why.  Instead I now have a nice black flannel over-shirt but considering how insane the weather has changed, I won't really get to wear it. 

 

GL with the Cisco stuff. Only cert I have is my A+. I never bothered with my Net+ or any cisco.

MMMM... bacon!!! :) My husband has a Kiltman Kilt (locally made) in black. Love it!!:)

@terosx -  I've got my A+ already, used to have Apple's Desktop Certified Repair cert as well. But I got a groupon for the cisco stuff a while back, and I'm running out of time with it. I originally planned to do it during the first challenge, but then I shifted away.

 

@ScoutSays - Yeah, I got mine from a (I think) local group called Highland Secrets that does the NY Renn Faire. Sadly they don't do Clan Tartans are the Renn Faire, so I was stuck getting Black Watch (though admittedly that's really close).

I know! Cheese is a big one, I quite enjoy a large variety of types, not to mention the cheese fries. Of course, cutting out cheese fries will probably drop my weekly caloric intake by quite a bit 80D.

Good stuff Rogue!  I'll be honest, I like cheese too, but when I did whole 30, I ended up not really missing it on anything.  So it can be done :)

 

Certification is something I should probably do too.  I've been trying to think of what I want to try to do to get back out int he workplace once my son gets into schooling.  I've already been out of work for 3 years.  Just turned 40, so I should figure it out quick haha.

I actually went mostly Paleo almost three years ago, also got to a point where I was about 20 lbs lighter than I am now. But I allowed myself to slip out of it. I've been working under the assumption that perhaps I took on too much all at once, and that's why I'm taking the small steps. The larger issue at this point is getting the period between challenges under control as well. I'm using the challenges as too much of a motivational crutch. So hopefully I can get that resolved.

There was a two week period between my first and second challenge, and then a one week between my second and third. I can understand that it might be rough for the organizers to get everything done for the next challenge within that one week period, but for those of us trying to get past mental hurdles or possibly ending challenges in a bit of a down emotional mood that two week period can be killer.

I joined rogue squadron! Horray! 

 

Yeah, a week off feels like you've earned it but two weeks feels like you could slide back into some bad habits because you start feeling a bit unmotivated, that is how it has been in my case any way!

That's totally how it's been for me so far. I was looking forward to getting back into a challenge after a week to get myself all refocused and such, but I've been struggling a little bit without having the crutch of the challenge requirements to lean on, and in some ways I also have a hesitation about getting started on some of the updated/new goals too .
