EmCee
Random things I'm excited about: - Seeing Radiolab live on Tues - Birthday next Sat - Renting a cabin in the woods with the IC for a long weekend after that - Nerdsgiving (!!) a few days thereafter - Starting work a few days after thatA lot of this summer I was too sick to have much to look forward. I had to keep canceling on plans (ugh, I'm still sorry The Tin Man!) which meant that I pretty much stopped making them. Doctor's visits several times per week, constantly losing days and weeks to just being miserable in pain, isolated from everyone else, etc.So having things to look forward to is more than just having things to look forward to... it feels like it's like I'm becoming a normal human being again. I'm full of excitement. I love this! So much. I'm sooooo happy for you. But, don't think I'm gonna reciprocate the bday pics. Letting go is the hardest asana. catspaw
Do you cook the kale right in with the scrambled eggs, or is it more a side? It varies. That morning I put some coconut oil in a pan and mixed in some garlic and kale, cooked until wilted, and then dropped two eggs and and scrambled the whole thing with a pair of chopsticks. I use chopsticks to scramble my eggs because I'm weird. 1 You gotta experiment to find out what works for you.PM me with any questions about, well, anything! Crooked
So a brand new Whole Foods opened up right next to my house, and they have a paleo section in the hot bar. No canola oil or soy anything. Badass. Also, I may need to start setting limits on how much of their house kombucha I drink... THIS IS SO COOL. I didn't know that was a thing! I'm not the only one! erawka
If you're ever in PDX, there's a biryani place that is AMAZING. There's always a wait, and it's always worth it. A bit of a sidetrack: Are you cleared for IF? When I was (to some extent, still am) having my HPA axis issues, my doc told me No IF Ever Again Or Stern Lecture Will Ensue. I mean, it's not like any of this is super researched, especially in lady folks, but I'm curious about where our mileage/medical advice may be varying. This can be a PM if it's too personal. Good to know! Since adding white rice back in, biryani has become one of my staples. Well, technically it's a pulao, not a biryani, but same sort of thing. Good question re: IF. I am not cleared for IF. I'm on "150g carb and 50g fat minimum" rules, and for a while was asked to gain 10 lbs but that didn't help anything so I don't have any caloric restrictions anymore. Some of my food logs may look like IF, just because I'm naming the meals strangely. Typically I've been eating a meal ~10:30, one ~2-3 and one ~6-7. I have a bunch of shit I need to take fasted in the morning (plus daily salivary tests fasted 1 hr after waking) and then three doses of supplements that need food with them. No IF, no low carb, no HIIT and no severe caloric deficits at least until my period comes back and/or my cortisol returns to normal levels. Until then, lots of salivary tests, lots of blood work, and lots of patience. I have to fill this vial with spit every morning. Fun. I hate patience.
