The Elysian Knights Ride Again

I think there's some availability through the week, but not a great deal.  My free evening is Wednesday and I'm home around 8:30 Eastern Tuesdays and Thursdays.  Other than that, I'm booked through the week.

 

What is everyone else's availability?  Preferably in Eastern time for simplicity in matching up schedules.

I like seeing all the things you have done.  It inspires me to keep working away at my to-do list.

 

This weekend I:

- finished putting plastic on the windows

- made chocolate cream cheese brownies

- went to the library to return and pick up books - I have Becoming a Supple Leopard to read!  It looks fascinating.

- grocery shopping at two stores

- raked the front lawn

- sorted a box of art and repacked most of it

- roasted veggies and started making borscht

- prepared dances to teach tonight

- read a novel

- started my new log book

- did an hour of PT

- washed the windows on my car inside and out and treated the outside with Rainex

 

When I think it over I usually don't feel like I got much done.  I focus on the things I missed more than the things I did.  When I list it as I go I can see that I really was productive.

Anyway, I don't know which weekdays are gonna work, or what times will work for that matter. I've got a third job now at UPS that I'm working in the evenings, and it's looking to be a Monday-Friday kind of thing for now. I might get some time off, and I might not; I don't really know the game right now.

It sounds like for this challenge you are going to be trying alternate day sleeping instead of alternate day eating.  Seriously, take care of yourself.  You are pushing really hard.  At some point you are going to need to take a break.  I can see how the morning meditation would be very helpful.

You're right. I'll have to at some point. The only hope I have, then, is that when that time comes, I'll be in a position where I can afford it. If I can't, then... it's gonna cost me something that I don't want it to.

 

But! No reason to be grim until it's time.

Alright, it's almost been another week!  I have:

  1. Meet with my boyfriend, his ex wife, and her partner and have a long discussion about their daughter and all the issues between both houses.  This went well!
  2. Library renewals, requests, etc.
  3. Declutter the kids room completely!  It's sooo much better this time.  This time I REALLY made cuts and there is SPACE in the room.  Oooh, what is that going to be like??
  4. Take daughter to medical clinic appt for services updates
  5. Fill out and mail time sheet.  Ug...math.
  6. Update skype log.
  7. Groceries
  8. Finally finish all of my food prep!  This was hours of work.
  9. More groceries!
  10. OT teacher training for helping daughter learn self-feeding!!!
  11. CSE check-in
  12. Finally started receiving CSE child support, straight from a wage assignment.  No more missed payments!!!
  13. Follow-up with atty to keep them informed
  14. Repeatedly check up to see if my transcripts were received, finally left a VM with admissions counselor to find out why they haven't received them.
  15. Talked with admissions lady, emailed her name change and transcript, and got in!  I get to start college again in January!!!!!
  16. Update NF
  17. Found a new walking buddy at the kids' school and planned a walk for monday, then hopefully more!
  18. Asked a local co-op about CSA veggie boxes and got names of 2 farms that do it!
  19. Declutter and tidy dining room
  20. Declutter and tidy kitchen
  21. Declutter and front room
  22. Declutter and tidy play room
  23. Made arrangements for babysitters & alternative transportation for everyone in my family, in order to go to my orientation, etc tonight for my college!
  24. Took my bike in for trouble-shooting to relieve pressure on my tailbone and be able to ride my bike again!
  25. Update NF & finish the week
  26. All the exercises in Your Last Diet!

Yay, and it's only Friday!  Productivity win.  Feeling very empowered... 

 

Thanks for listening!  This is kind of like the opposite of "Failure Friday" to me, it's like "Success Friday".  Look at all of my successes for the week!

That knocked my week out of the water! Congrats on getting so much done!

My funny failure this week is an old one, from Saturday. I was trying to get upside down from the dip handles on my power tower, did not have it far enough away from the wall, and flipped by accident. This resulted in smashing one foot into the closet door, bending the (flimsy) handle some and damaging my foot. I thought I broke a toe but it's healing very quickly so it probably isn't busted after all. The plum colouring and swelling are pretty much gone already.

Other than that judo went really badly last night. Nobody is hurt and nothing permanent happened but I had a tiff with my Sensei and ended up very upset. Workout didn't happen.

Hanging out with Techmom and some other friends tonight and drinking some whipped cream flavoured vodka. Not much though, just a little.

Week 1 summary: 

Judo - whole lot of fail, taught the kids but didn't practice

Strength training - twice, even if the second one was broken into 2

Study - The O Uchi Gari article above, and more time watching these videos on an

.

Life - Sort of, I got some work stuff done in the lull and some Christmas shopping yesterday.  Did some relaxing but it was a stressy end to the week.  I did bow out of game time this afternoon to get things done.

Week 1 did not go badly. Had some unexpected difficulties arise, but having never donated plasma before, I wasn't sure what that would do in terms of physical stress or the time investment, but the time thing shouldn't be so big now and the donation isn't so bad if you've drank a lot of water. This week will go better, I'm sure of it.
