Kishi
We do and did! Thank you for the well-wishes! Also, Farscape was just added to Netflix, I believe, so if you wanted to get back into it, you should be good. Work like a farmer, train like an athlete, fight like a soldier. 2 Tim. 2:3-6 BATTLE! I, um, possibly own the boxed set (plus the Peacekeeper Wars) and it's been available on Canadian Netflix for ages. I reiterate: the shame. Behave yourself, badly if necessary. Teirin
Coursera is offering a Nutrition course starting in January. I tried taking this one before but I found it most of the way into the course and it didn't really work out. Here's a link in case anyone is interested: https://www.coursera.org/course/lifenutr Behave yourself, badly if necessary. Current Challenge Judo - Shodan My Character Link to comment
Kishi
That looks fun. I haven't been too good about the course I signed up for, though, so I don't know if I'd follow through with it. Also, the angry chicken dance is the dance of my people - the Angry Chickens. XD Work like a farmer, train like an athlete, fight like a soldier. 2 Tim. 2:3-6 BATTLE! Link to comment
Mistr
I've been thinking about this for awhile but I don't think I posted about it. Please forgive me if I'm repeating myself. I have been paying attention to my posture during aikido classes. Everyone watches their posture while they are working with partners (or gets reminded to). No, I'm talking about watching my posture while I am sitting on the side as the sensei is demonstrating. I noticed a long time ago that when I sit up straight I can focus much better. When I slouch my attention tends to wander. Back then I could sit in seiza (kneeling with my toes flat). Now my knees can't take seiza for any length of time. I have to sit cross-legged (anza). Keeping my posture erect while sitting cross-legged takes a lot of core strength. Has anyone else noticed this? Do you find a difference in your focus when your core is engaged and your back is straight? Level 68 Viking paladin My current challenge Battle log Link to comment

FaePrice
Hey guys. I am alive. After joining Overeaters Anonymous, I have discovered that I have a pretty significant eating disorder. So with that in mind, my focus has been on recovery, not diet and fitness. I am not doing the NF challenge right now, and don't have much to contribute to you guys', as mine is not a simple issue of willpower, motivation, etc, and I'm a bit startled and confused by these revelations. I'm hoping that maybe by the next challenge I will figure out a way to create something that lets me stay in this community and get better at the same time. I still read you guys' posts, and I miss you all! Link to comment

I understand that eating is tangled up in all sorts of emotional issues. I hope you can sort that out and move forward. I have confidence you can do it based on all the progress you made in the last two challenges. We are here for you if you want to talk thing out or just vent your frustrations. Kishi
I see no reason not to keep going here. Mistr
Hi all, I'm finally back from travelling to see my family. I had 28 hours of road trip time this week. Sorry for the radio silence. I had limited screen time. Yes, please set up the team again for the next challenge. Let's see if we can also get some new members since Fae and Techmom have gotten busy with other things. Hopefully they will come back sooner or later. Level 68 Viking paladin My current challenge Battle log Link to comment

Teirin
Cool, some people in the LGBTQA and Ally Safe Space thread were looking for a team. I can drop a note in there? Any other particular areas that could be good to drop a recruiting note? We might as well continue in this thread. Behave yourself, badly if necessary. FaePrice
Hi guys! I'm back for this challenge, and excited! I am finding that I have a lot more life goals than fitness ones, but I think maybe that's ok. Is there a new group sign-up yet? Thanks! Missing you guys, and glad to be back. Any other particular areas that could be good to drop a recruiting note? We might as well continue in this thread. I don't know about any other particularly good threads, but talking to people and telling them we have room is as good a tactic as any at this point, you know? And yeah, definitely mention it to the LGBTQA and Ally folk. They need help just as much as we do. Work like a farmer, train like an athlete, fight like a soldier. 2 Tim. 2:3-6 BATTLE!
