I just figured out my 1RM on squats today too. Topped out at 300 lb, which is good, as I have no more plates to add, but is bad in that I still weigh more than that, so it's not very impressive in that regard.

Fortunately, I do not have video as I'm a hideous monster and don't wish to offend sensibilities <wink>.

I said it in your thread, but I'll echo it here: awesome job Vix! Such impress. Much squat.

Still loving that I make decent progress every workout doing Convict Conditioning even though I only perform each exercise once per week.  Seeing the progress in either volume or intensity of my workout week to week is enough motivation for me.  I know that I'm stronger from one week to the next, have less risk of injury compared to lifting weights, and I don't feel the fatigue at the start of a workout that I often did when working out more frequently.  What more could I want?

I'm very happy to report that I earned another week of straight As.

- warm up 7x / week

- walking the plank 3x / week (keeping Sunday as a rest day for the Wussies)

- side planks 4x / week

- leg stretches 7x / week

:triumphant: :triumphant: :triumphant: :triumphant: :triumphant:

It may feel that I'm not making any progress with the pulls (I did try a chin up - not a negative - and didn't get far at all, that was kind of... meh), and I'm afraid I have to be a lot more patient with this than I am usually able to be. *sigh* So, that's definitely a challenge right there. :D

Have a great Sunday, and have a successful week #3! :tyrannosaurus:

Week two summary (of sorts) is here. I'm doing well considering the circumstances, and although the financial disaster has now been averted, these next couple of weeks are going to be reasonably challenging. Plus side? Last week of lectures before breaking up for the winter holidays, so more time to focus on a more permanent solution.

Random thought: So I am not quite in the dark ages with video games, but close. We have a Wii but less than 10 games. Ask but 2 very movement oriented. Anyway I

Played baseball and boxing with my monkey yesterday and can not believe how sore my arms are. End random thought

My report for week #2 is posted to my challenge log.  I'm struggling with my life goal right now, but I expect to catch up some this week and next, but I will have to be disciplined.  My real concern is my weight loss.  I didn't make it a goal this challenge because I was so close to it, but I've gotten very relaxed with it.  About one month of being stagnant and now this week a 2 lb gain.  Between Halloween candy and the start of other desserts and stuff being around more (like my Achilles heel, pie) it has been extremely easy to cheat and extremely hard to stay disciplined, especially on weekends.

Here's a summary of the weekly report from my log:

1. Do Stronglifts 3 times a week: A (100%)

2. Track macros: B (85%)

3. Read Starting Strength and improve form: B (80%)

4. Life Goal - Clean apartment: C (75%)

OVERALL GRADE:  (85%)

Went up a letter grade from last week, which is great. I mainly need to tighten up on the nutrition goals, but that's going to be hard this week.

Excellent progress on the challenge brader! :triumphant:

On the life goal and the weight loss, I know that you will get it, just focus and remember why you are doing it. The holidays are tough, just know that YOU are the one in charge and don't let them control you. You can do it, I believe in you!
