Ok heres were i post my goals for the next challange

 

Ok First off Backpacking Lets start reasonable I want to go on at least one excursion with a full multi day load even if its only a one day trip to prep myself for thru hiking ie month long hikes.

 

Part of this will be learning how to pack for a thru hike and going on day hikes at least once a week kind of like rucking.

 

Secondly I want to keep doing at least one GoRuck Challange every 2 months to culminate in a Heavy.  I might also do a light every two weeks.

 

Thirdly I want to work on my general physical preparedness ie metcon.  I want to get my Metcon totals down for some of the named workouts I will use Murphy as my bench mark

 

"Murph"

Run a mile

100 pullups

200 pushups

300 air squats

Run a mile

20 pnd body armor on the whole time.

 

Goal is a 30 minute total

 

Fourth Goal Oly and Power lifts i want to get better accross the board goal is at least a 135 pnd Snatch and Overhead Squat.

 

Will work at least once a week on these lifts

 

Lastly Personnel Goal keep working on Fire Management Bachalors and do so those with a High GPA.  

 

How i will do this is making sure to do my work as early in the week ie Sunday and monday once assigned to leave the week open to work on my physcial goals

Nice goals! Where are you trying to get you bachelors? I was in a fire management BA course at Kaplan Online University for a while before I switched to Psychology. It was a pretty good program. 

 

I'm in the military too, went to air assault school (12 mile ruck in under 3 hrs, ~45lbs) and trained rucking too :) I actually love rucking. AA I finished in 2:30 I was so pumped :) Hope you have some good trails around you cause that really helps. 

 

Murphy with the vest is going to help definitely for preparedness.. holy crap 30 minutes? You're a beast... 

 

PS I'm going for 135 snatch too... lets race.. responsibly :P

Well played always nice to have competition.  Yeah completed AA about 2 years ago did you do yours at campbell?  Did Airborne last year hurt my knee but completed my 5 jumps so wings i have. 

 

Also in the military as well.

 

Doing the Bachalors program through AMU just started clepped 3 of my core classes going to work to clep some more forgot to add that to the goals.

 

Yeah we got a crazy amount of trails plus the smoky mountains are only a few hours away.

Ok today i posted my workout earlier just knocked out the second one here it is

 

10x100 meter sprints

 

5 rounds

20 situps 

20 leg lifts

 

For school knocked out my required assignment left for this week i need to build a plan using a template and need to knock out my first quiz, plan on doing that tommorrow.  

 

Plan on using this as my primary tracker until i am between challanges then i will go to my other Topic.

Ok today i felt like crap and didn't even get to the gym till later tonight fail on me 

 

28-24-20-16-12-8-4

50 pnd kettlebell one in each hand front squats for 100pnds total

50 pnd kettlebell one in each hand push press for 100 pnds total

 

SUCKED....miserable at least took 40 minutes not fun would not recommend

 

Class work knocked out the quiz for the week took two attempts but got a 100 

working on my time managment grid plan will have it done tonight before sleep or else

 

dinner is a nice steak and sam adams...yeah diet could use work....lunch was a bacon burger at chilis....yeah diet needs serious work.

That workout looks like it sucks, but good on you for going even late at night. Maybe thats why you were so sluggish too?

The sluggishness was definitely from not working out and just eating lunch and sitting down on the couch let myself drift off, next time i hit the gym instead.

ok so you got me looking into that whole goruck thing, and I had no idea they had a special ops one. of course now i want to try it.. sucks though the march dates i think i have training and december is way too soon. there is on in ft bragg tho if i get that job it'll be right around the corner... Maybe I'll go to my shop, pack up my ruck and head out a couple days this month :P Thanks for motivating me haha.

Your welcome i love goruck its a fun way to meet new people, I was planning on doing the one in boston in march there are like 4 NF people planning on doing it so far.  From what i have seen of your workouts you are more then ready girls only carry 25 pounds its less then what you carried for air assault school.  Let me know when you want to do your first challenge i have flown for them in the past its actually funner if you know a few people going.

 

Was thinking about this i get sluggish time to time it always happens if i wait to long into the day if I don't eat.

25lbs?! Thats ridiculous I wouldn't even need to train for that haha. and in sneakers too that'd be nice. I think the hardest part would be the 24hrs part. I didn't know there was NF people thinking about going to it I'm so outta the loop haha, I'd be down if I'm around.

Just depends on what you want to do a Challenge is any were from 12 to 18 hours and Heavy is minimum 24 hours it just depends on want to do i would advise doing a basic challenge and seeing if you like it.  A heavy i think guys are upped to 8 bricks and chicks are 6 bricks so its 35 pnds.  Yeah look into some of my posts expecially the go ruck group it is so much funner to do it with a group of guys then with a bunch of strangers.

Right now the back feels good but i am sure it will hate me tommorrow.

 

Ouch yeah i am worried we don't have any of the cool jump ropes with the bearings in them so i will work at that as well

Ok yesterday no workout bad on me work got in the way big time 14 hours babysitting my fellow co workers sucked.

 

Today not much better had to work extra hours for no reason ie Tom is pissed so gym was closed made up this workout

 

3 Rounds

Naw we do Deployment Transition Center so we have to baby sit other TACP JTACs 2 guys lost there ID cards so we spent 3 hours getting them a new one at the end of the day.

Ok we lost internet for 24 hours so heres what i did on wensday slacked on Tuesday but came back hard on Wensday

You are right on that chesticles hurt when i touch them also if i try and do a pushup not so hot right now good thing i have a  9 hour flight back to the states to rest then.  It would be awesome to do a workout with yaa.

10 pushups with ruck

 

15 walking lunges with ruck

 

40 pullups with ruck on to wrap....lots of pain

 

No second workout today and i used monday as a recovery day from jet lag.
