Finishing the year strongly!

I´ve been on the fence about drinking coffee. Perhaps I should start with half a cup of coffee with milk. My girlfriend has been telling me she wants some hot beverage to start this cold (for tropical standards) mornings. I´ll check my options, thanks!

None, the lightbulb must want to change itself |-.-|... *dodges tomato*.

Thanks! It keeps me going!

I´m fasting because I don´t have nuts anymore. I have to go downtown to resupply. However I´ve got my hands on a few that might last me for this and the following week.

Yeah,  I´ve have to step it up, can´t let you guys hoard all the "awesomeium".

I updated my log. Also uploaded a folder of pictures

I plan to upload more pictures tonight.

Also: My girlfriend and I talked about the exercise time and determined that we would not do more than 60 minutes of it on weekdays. So I made some slight changes to the Insanity Calendar to fit that. It may not be that intense anymore, but we plan to at least repeat the program once more starting the second/third week of next year.

OF COURSE NOT!!!

I thought I stopped by here already.  Damn, I'm scatter brained lately.

Hi Zuel!  Awesome looking goals.  And log sheet.  AND FOOD.  Sweet, glorious food - it looks pretty and tasty as hell!  Though Shogun, why play with recipes?!  Experimenting with what you THINK is in the food makes it so much more fun! (I made homemade cranberry sauce today.  On a whim.  Because.... well, because it was more entertaining of an idea than job hunting.  But it doesn't look half as tasty as Zuel's dishes here.)

Can't wait to see where this one takes you, Zuel.  And congrats on the house! :)

Dude... I am totally appropriating these recipes! Looks like you are an awesome cook!

Yikes, now I´ll have to actually post the recipes.

Usually I broil all the stuffs, mix everything and pray feverishly to the enigmatic Cooking god

I´ll try to post them next week. =P ¡Gracias hombre!

Your food is so beautiful that it makes me angry. :D :D :D

Also, if you don't mind me asking, why the cut in activity? Is there life stuff happening or is one of those "couples" things?

Haha, that´s my girl´s doing. She is a very visual person!

Mostly because lack of time. 1 hour is a nice time and morning workouts suit us well: less interruptions, more energy for the day. Since we go to work 8 am to 6 pm (7 pm in her case) and we usually use the afternoons to work on the house, cook, do laundry, rest, etc (not necessarily in that order or in one day), we are willing to wake up as early as 5 am. Some video combinations would require us to wake up before 4:30 am. No thanks XD. We rather take a more relaxed approach by repeating the program as necessary.

Jokes and food.  I clearly need to follow this thread.  Nice goals and glad you came back!

Haha, thanks for the support Teirin! =D *furiously looks for jokes to keep up DX*

Oh yeah, imagine starting to make breakfast and seeing that! It seemed SO HAPPY about being involved!

Thank you very much Risen Phoenix. =D I can´t take whole credit, I cook with my girlfriend. She does a lot too. It is almost a requirement, my mother is a certified Chef, and her mother has a cook for a school for the past 20 years, so something had be learned.

Cooking is such a nice skill to have. And you are right: cooking is more about experimenting than following a recipe. Sometimes it may get tepid results but there is always the potential for a surprise "home run". Now if only we could cook faster...

Man, a cranberrie sauce sounds delicious!

Updated Log, Food Porn and Home pics for thursday 14th and friday 15th of november..

Man! I love this way of updating.  :pride:

There are several things we will be doing this weekend: installing light-bulbs, a water filter, eyebolts for the laundry, among other stuff.

This is a long weekend for us thanks to the anniversary of the Revolution. The extra free time is a blessing.

Didn´t finish all the chores, and had a couple of cheat meals. An excellent long weekend anyway. =P

Fans everywhere! I can totally feel related!

I won't be looking that much at your food porn pics.. it makes me hungry. =)

Oh yeah! Fan are a must. Otherwise say good bye to comfort.

Haha, ok then, it´s better prevent cravings!

Nice place! And that shrimp salad made my mouth water!

Thank you Caponerd. It is shaping up nicely!

It was delicious, I love me some shrimp.

Of course, it's Latin American Cuisine!

:victorious: Agree completely!

What a lovely home you have!

And so many fans! :)

Hope you had fun on your long weekend! :)

Thanks a lot Cheechoe! It will get better once we organize all the stuff we brought.

Yes, it can get quite hot around here, even during winter.

I did, it was quite entertaining.

Updated my log again. Everything is going well. But there are some changes with our routines: My girlfriend will stop doing Insanity for a while. It seems she is not getting as much from the program because she still lacks a bit of stamina. She will go back to using her routines (mostly strengthening with some resistance)  and increase the pace up until she can complete more than 50% of the circuits without extra rests times.

Hopefully, she will go back to the program next year. Besides, we care more for a stable progress rather than reaching our goal in only 9 weeks.

This weekend we have to organize our closets, install some changes to the roof and set the light-bulbs bases (which I didn´t do last week ¬¬)

Have a nice weekend everyone! =D

Sounds like your girl is looking for changes to be made over a lifetime rather than the bootcamp yoyo routine. Props to her. I hope she gets the results she's looking for.

In the meantime, it looks like you're staying consistent. Not getting all the sleep, I see, but the low points don't appear to be common.

She is, and while the Insanity program is quite good, it requires you to have some level of conditioning that is definitely not for beginners. I would love to get impressions from more experienced people like you or Cheechoe.

Oh yes. Somethimes time flies while working at home and we don´t go to bed as early as we would like, but we really really hope to correct that as soon as the house is 100% finished!

I may not have posted here, but I´ve kept updating the log. Everything is going well, I will have to upload it at home since I can´t copy the comments just with Copy-Paste.

Still a lot of things to do in the house (organizing specially), but everything indicates we will be done for the end of the challenge =).

Has she considered doing the C25k program? (A program that helps non runners get to where they can run a 5k)

It is awesome and will build stamina. My sister did it without having run more than 30 at a time before. Also a lot of other nerds have done it in a challenge. Good stuff. :)

P.s. Awwww, you want my opinion! xD I have The Feel Goods now. :D

Well, it gets results with a wide range of clients from various modes of life. It definitely does require a great degree of cardiovascular conditioning, mostly because it's all-go, no-quit, that kind of thing. Still, if you enjoy that mode of exercise, then why not? Movement is better than non-movement.
