Thom the Lycan Ranger vs The Black Dog

I have managed to get into my NF account on my PC. I have changed a few things on my profile. First is my profile picture. That is me from August 2018, just after I moved into my unit. Actually, it may have been from the first night in my little flat. The second is the name change that I have been discussing here. I am now Thom Stepan, Thom the Builder of Worth. That much better reflects who I am now.

These are wise changes. A profile pic of you smiling, and a meaningful name that is supportive of you and your goals are both Good Things. They will be helpful in keeping your mind on track and preventing negative self-talk. Well done.

My thoughts exactly my friend.

Must have been a good workout yesterday, I have some DOMS in my shoulders and thighs. The legs are much better today than yesterday, even with DOMS.

Went for another neighbourhood walk this morning. That helped with the stiffness in my thighs. Feels like I am actually starting to get into this challenge this week. Just got to keep building consistency now.

I actually improved my pace from last week, by about 30 seconds. I want this to be down around the ten minute per kilometre mark. All in good time, with plenty of consistency. 31c2def1c485b8cc6fed203c439986e1.jpg

I did my first SuperDad yoga for the Ranger mini challenge this morning. Then went for a morning walk.

Had to drive to Cootamundra to look after my kids whilst Bec went to the hospital for dehydration. She is okay, and home now. I will drive home in the morning. I am not sure if I am bringing the kids home with me or not.

Hopefully I can get my gym session in tomorrow. 68fda8c812d353036156bfc6484156a4.jpg

No gym or walk today. Probably not going to get either in until Sunday now.

I have brought my two girls home today. I will be looking after them until probably Sunday. Hmm, maybe the BBWW will work when I cant get to the gym.

A bit of food porn for you. My mid morning snack; celery, carrot, olives and hummus. I forgot how much I enjoy this as a snack. Add a few dates and it would be brilliant. The hummus makes the celery edible, lol. efeab7cdd81d79d95728c77c5d13fdaa.jpg

Took my girls to the park lastnight and again this morning. It was good to get them out of the unit.

Today I have been working on tidying and re-arranging my bedroom. Getting rid of some stuff as well. Particularly some clothes. I want my wardrobe to reflect a my sense of worth and professionalism I wish to project as a life coach.

Although I am still cleaning so I want to keep clothes more appropriate to my cleaning job.

At what poInt did I think doing 500m on the rowing machine after my strength workout was a good idea?

Frog me drunk, that drained me fast. At least I didnt puke, so felt like it though. Could barely stand when I finished.

Finally I got my unit ready for the inspection tomorrow. All my shirts have been steamed to get the wrinkles out.

I am looking forward to going to the gym tomorrow.

After my inspection, I will be heading off to get my kids. Looking forward to seeing them again.

Bec got me watching that Marie Kondo on Netflix. She showed me Emmy's drawer with the clothes folded her way. I like the whole your belongings should bring you joy concept. I like the whole thanking items even as you put them in the throw out pile. It is a good way to teach respect for your stuff. The same with the connecting with your home and your belongings.

I havent done any walking this week. No excuses, just not done it.

I have done the second online video of my course today. It was quite enjoyable and got me thinking how I can use the lesson to help me start my coaching career.

So I got to the gym yesterday. I kept the weights the same as Monday, and found my RPE was a bit lower for each lift. I also finished with another 500m on the rower. I was careful to keep my breathing more even this time and kept a steady pace. I felt much better when I finished my workout conpared to Monday.

No DOMS today so I am either starying to adjust, or my intensity wasn't as great. Probably a bit of both.

House inspection was easy and went well.

I drove the 90k's to Cootamundra yesterday to Bec's house to pick up the kids. I stayed the night there (I sleep in the spare bed in my Emmy's room) so I could bring my crew home in the relative cool of the morning.

I enjoy having my kids. In the morning I will get them to the park before it gets too hot. Looks like it will be 43c (109f) tomorrow. Tonight is dropping to 28c (82f), a hot night for sleep.

At least my kids are sleeping under my aircon, which is set to 20c (68f). They are so cold the have heavy blankets on. But better that than them sweltering in the heat.

My Theo has a holiday job with a Plant Hire company. They get contracts for plumbing, and trench digging type stuff in the region. Poor blighter has been working in this heat. But he is resilient, and enjoys earning money to buy himself stuff.

He has updated his wardrobe having outgrown pretty much most of his clothes with his money this summer. Bloody teenagers, he is 16. He bought himself an Xbox one, a tv and helped move into our unit during the winter holidays, about six months ago.

Aus is hotter than Texas, I don't know how anyone would survive there without A/C(aircon). Also, thank you for converting all the metric units.

You are welcome. I keep an app on my phone for that, especially for temperature. I can convert distances and weights in my head well enough as I grew up with both (yay back water farming communities), but converting temperatures always stuffs me.

Last week the city of Adelaide had a record of 46.7c (116f), for the first time since 1939. When I lived in Andamooka in South Australia it would often get in the mid to high forties (over 110f) in the summer. It is funny what you can adjust to.

The temps I have been living with were common to where I grew up. Aircons were rare in those days. Now they are almost standard in every house.

Havent done too much this weekend besides staying cool with the kids.

I mentioned to Atrytone that it is important to take some time to enjoy the beauty in the world around you. I did that myself today. Check out this gorgeous sunset, that me and the kids took time to enjoy. 9f74a0ceca2234da3c03c82cd1dc97b7.jpg

I am getting ready for the first weekend workshop for my Life Coaching Diploma. Travelling to Sydney by train. Tickets are booked. Been going through the video lessons, and I am pretty much ready to go. I will need to find a place to sleep Saturday night, otherwise I am prepared.

Looking forward to doing this, and getting the next chapter of my life started.

Okay where to start?

I am tired. At 12.20am I boarded the train to Sydney. I arrived at Sydney around 7.30am. After a feed and shirt change, I caught the train to Chatswood and made my way to the hotel that the weekend workshop is being held.

What a great day. Learned heaps, some I was already aware of. There are about 30 people in the course. All fascinating people, different backgrounds, different reasons for being there. All willing to participate.

Making friends already.

Man I am so tired. Did I mention that? It's now 7.30pm and I am in a YHA in Sydney. Shared dorm, but it is cheap. Which is important. I travelled the furtherest in my class.

Oh, and on the train I passed this building.

On my way home from Sydney now.

What a great weekend. Really enjoyed myself. This life coaching thing really sits well with my core values of knowledge and encouraging.

I can now use my knowledge to encourage others to build a life of worth.

I am finally home. Rested a bit now, and off the high from being on the course.

Time for some reflection now. I have been given the tools and skills to start doing some basic life coaching sessions and packages. I am a level one certified life coach.

Now there is some marketing stuff to research on the College website. I need to look at a logo, pricing, advertising, and get going with building a coaching business.
