Hi all,

 

After countless hours trawling for any vaguely truthful weight loss regime/program/quest guide, I finally stumbled upon nerdfitness. I am 5'11", 85kg and fairly built. I am currently a university student studying computer science with varied and far reaching interests. I am a competitive cheerleader (think flips and throwing girls rather than poms) and was recently honoured with the privilege of competing for England in 2014. For a very long time I have considered losing weight for a number of reasons including not being happy with my appearance, not being strong enough, not being confident etc. However, now I have a drive to become fitter, stronger and healthier for the England squad and also for myself.

 

My aims include:

- Becoming fitter and having more energy

- Improving my appearance

- Becoming stronger in order to become a better athlete

- Being the best I can possibly be

 

A week ago (coincidentally before I found this site) I decided to adhere to what is referred to here as the paleo diet. I am looking at a new gym on monday so I will sign up there and really begin this journey. I wish everyone the best of luck with their endeavours!
