Goofyfoot
So, I live in a small-town, and am fairly well known, being the mcd's store manager. Anywho, word gets around and one of our employees who is also a long-time nurse layed out a bunch of reasons I needsome kind of calcium, basically with the weight loss/muscle building and needing to strengthen bones for the extra muscle mass accounted for and what not. I'm kind of an all out guy, so since I went paleo/workout I have had zero calcium ingested (as far as I know). Should I be taken supplements, or should I just smile and nod (6'5, about 80 pounds overweight) Quote I haven't made a goal, I have made a lifestyle change.I am not where I want to be, but I am closer than I was yesterday. It was hard to make changes at first, I will never go back. The only person that was standing in my way was me. Big Red
Vegetables like collard greens and kale are both good ways of getting calcium, a lot of vegetables have calcium so you have probably been getting some. Google calcium rich vegetables and see what you find. Quote Link to post
alienjenn
calcium comes from MANY more places than dairy also the veggie sources of calcium are usually better for you and you get more usable calcium from them Quote Level 10.4 Wood-Elf, Ranger - specializing in demon fighting "doing the impossible since 2012 :D" - Librarian of Doom facebook battle log level 50 WOOT Backstory CNF2014 current (not challenge - doing a battle log this time) Spoiler * This is the day the Lord has made, rejoice in it and be glad. pirateradio
You can also get calcium from other green vegetables, plus you can get it from certain fish, like sardines (the type that come in water or olive oil). With a little research, you will find a lot of non dairy forms of calcium. Quote Link to post
