Food

green drink: 2 scoops protein, 2 handfuls spinach, 1/2 avocado, most of a banana, coconut milk, water
chopped salad: lettuce, chicken, egg, bacon, tomato, avocado, scallions
cucumbers, red peppers, smidge of goat cheese, cooked green beans
chocolate squares
protein powder
 

Once again I didn't eat enough.

Did my marble exercises, took ibuprofen, took fish oil, stretched

 

Life

Worked on my paper.

Caught up with a friend over a long coffee.

1/3 apple
scramble with red onion, yellow bell pepper, spinach, kale, tomatoes, avocado, garlic, sriracha, balsamic vinegar and butter
protein shake (just made with water)
 

Fitness

Went to the gym and played around with upper-body work with my boyfriend. Was a lot of fun. Normally I get stressed out working out with him because he is a real stickler about my form. I try to have good technique (and I have naturally pretty good technique on the more complicated lifts), but I'm not as obsessed with being perfect, since I think it's really hard to make strength gains without occasional imperfections in technique.

Lol! Sounds like you had a great weekend! Im glad you rested and then had a killer workout! Your foods also look delicious :D i had to get used to eating more when i started leaning more on macros and less on paleo - especially carbs. I mean, i love my sweet potatoes but e'ryday? Sigh, i need variety! Bringing fruit back into my diet has been super helpful too along with some ezekiel sprouted bread products and rice :)

I AM going the distance

 

'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. Nobody's ever gone the distance with Creed, and if I can go that distance, you see, and that bell rings and I'm still standin', I'm gonna know for the first time in my life, see, that I weren't just another bum from the neighborhood.

Today was necessarily another rest day because now it's my knee that is tweaky. Took a bath earlier and I'm hoping that helps. Yay for unidentified body ailments.

 

Was feeling SUPER headachey and exhausted earlier, to the point where I needed to nap for an hour and a half, which I NEVER do. I was worried I was getting a bug of some sort. Then I remembered I've only had a TINY cup of coffee today, and I usually need a minimum of 16 ounces to be functional. It's obviously too late to have some caffeine, so I'm just going to suck it up for a few more hours and try to get a bunch of sleep. Hope the sucky feeling clears up tomorrow.

Life

Trying not to let the ideal of the perfect get in the way of cranking out the good on this paper. I've been so paralyzed by worrying that this paper won't be any good, but it DEFINITELY won't be any good if I don't get it written.

Lesson learned: Don't say "obviously" about something that isn't obvious.

I have a self-imposed cut-off of 5 p.m. for drinking coffee. I try not to let my caffeine intake interfere with my sleep. Five is an arbitrary time, but I figure any later and I'll still be wired by bedtime.
