My Missions: Building Strenght: - FlexBar Reverse Tyler Twist, 3 sets of 15reps (Daily, STR +1)- ca. 20 min. exercises from Book "Bodytraining fuer Maenner" (which essentially are some core training exercises) (Mon, Wed, Fri, STR +3)Building Stamina: - Doing once a week 30 min of easy jogging through the woods, occasionally with fartlek.- Doing once a week 30 min of swimming (crawl stroke) (Tue resp. Thu, STA +2 )Building Flexibility: - Doing warm-up / Baduanjin / TaiChi routine, min. 5 times a week, early morning (Mon - Fri, DEX +2)Building Food Competence:- NO sweets (chocolate, cake, soda etc.)- first 3 weeks max. ONE beer per day, last 3 weeks NO alcohol at all. (CON +3)Life Goal:- Read about TaiChi and Baduanjin- Get tendinitis fixed. (WIS +2 CHA +1 CON +1) Remarks: My goals in this challenge are nearly the same like in my challenge#2, because I had to quit most of my missions due to illnesses and my tendinitis (and holidays, of course ).I have the feeling, my tendinitis has got better in the last weeks, so I try to add some intensity again. Also I plan to go swimming at least once a week in my lunch break, for my doctor recommended this for tendinitis cure. There is a swimming hall in the vicinity of my working place so I should be able to manage this. I hope this time I'll stay in good health and can stick to my goals. Radulf Wilhelmson
Yay! Just did my first swimming in this challenge! I managed to go to the swimming pool during my lunch break. But it seems to be only possible on Thursdays. Even though on this day three lanes out of six are occupied with roistering pupils and the other three are crouded with either reckless high-speed crawlers, kind of head-up-breast-stroke paddling grannies or zigzagging backstrokers with no sense of orientation at all. Nope, I don't overstate this.So I was forced to do breast-strokes instead of crawl, not to get drowned by one of these amok-swimmers. Nevertheless I had fun swimming and afterwards I visited the steam-bath. Lummy! This morning I stepped on my balance. I don't want to lose many words about this, but I have to adapt my main goal. Loosing 8 kg should be a better goal....Thanks to holiday time! GreetsM. Panczo
I know that kind of pool- swimmers. Unfortunately!!! that's why I only gone swimming during the weekends where I could find a lane with max 2 other people on it... that's the no.1 thing that makes me wonder whether I want to go to the pool at all :/ Elf Druid - Level 8 looking around for happiness || tracking || #intro || #old "Most people think they’ll feel good once they reach some goal. So, 8 kg in six weeks, that is still a lot, are you sure? The fact that you're keeping your goals only means that you made wise choices to begin with I think; so good for you Oh, and what is the biggest difference between Bodytraining for men and women ? Radulf Wilhelmson
Just a short update: Didn't manage to go swimming on Thursday, because a colleague got ill and I had to take over his work in a practical course; just in my time slot for swimming. On thursday night I again sufffered an intestinal virus attack, which left me ill until sunday. The good thing in this viruses is the rapid loss of weight they generate :-) On Sunday me and my family had a fife hour hike through an animal resort, which should compensate the missed swimming. Panczo
hey M.how other goals are going? Is your elbow still hurting, how does your exercises influence him? I tell u my elbow is surprisingly well after I started lifting again.. smth all the specialists advice me not to do... so I'll how it turns out ... how about your nutrition goals? I'm cutting out alcohol as well - well actually minimizing would be a better word for it - I don't want to destroy my social life totally and cutting out sweets still sounds to hard for me... but I was close to put it too in my current challenge... who knows, maybe in next challenge... cheers man, keep going !! Radulf Wilhelmson
Hey Panczoto be honest, I'm cheatin' a lot in the moment. Didn't do my morning routine and bodytraining regularly. At least I stick to jogging and hiking for endurance. And I'll try swimming again.I also had no problem with cutting out sweets completely, but - like you - I only manage to minimize my alkohol intake. Good to hear about your elbow getting better. Mine does pretty ok, but hurts again now and then. I think we have to live with that and I decided not to pay too much attention to it in the future. I also think a moderate motion is better than resting in this case. So you see I'm pretty much out of track in the moment, but I hope this is getting better soon and I'll be able to motivate me again. All the good for you M. Radulf Wilhelmson
So finally this challenge has come to an end. This time I wasn't able to stick to my goals. My motivation left me in the middle of the challenge. And again I suffered a severe cold for the last two weeks. But at least I overcame it without any Antibiotics, which I feel, is a big success for me. Perhaps for this behavior my body deserves 1 additional point for CON. :-) Now to the regular points:I did no strenght training at all: 0 pointsI started to go swimming and did a lot of long time hiking instead of jogging in this challenge, so I think I can give me at least 1 point for stamina.Unfortunately I did almost no Baduanjin this time, because I didn't manage to get up early enough: 0 points for that.Beer task: failed, sweets task: success: 1 point for that goalLife Goal: tendinitis is doing ok, Reading not so much, but ok: so 1/1/1 points. In this week until the next challenge I will reflect if I take part in it and of what type my missions will be then. Greets M.
