Teros
Welcome you awesome people. With a new year is a new challenge, and with a new challenge is.... A new accountabillity group. This group is for anyone that's ready to buckle down and change thier life. It's time to become the best version of yourself that you can be. I've remade this guild 4 times I think and every time, it fills up with lots of awesome people. If you would like to be one of those people, then it's really simple. 1) Post here with a link to your challenge thread2) Tell a little bit about yourself.3) Follow those that are also in the group to offer encouragement. About me: This is my 6th challenge now. I've been around since May and in that time I've realized that this is the greatest community EVER. If you're new here, know this: You get out what you put in. If you give 110%, you will find people that also give 110% and that's amazing. I'm 28 and working at a supermarket while I try to get my master's degree in social work. I already have my bachelor's in psychology. I've gone down 4 pants sizes so far and I'm planning on doing a Spartan Race in june. I'm an avid gamer since I was born. I remember playing Rampage and Excitebike on the original NES, mortal kombat on sega, super mario rpg on super nes, waverace and zelda on n64, and plenty of the new games on xbox, xbox 360, wii, and ps3. One of my favorite games is Diablo II. I love RPGs and the idea of having yourself be a character that levels up really resonated with me. I welcome you all. Whether it's people that have joined here again or newcomers. Let's kick 2014's ass. Teros
Well I asked him and he said that he wanted to try something different so he wanted to keep the groups together longer but people dissappear. I'm not entirely sure but it's all good. It'll work out. At the very least, there should be a clean slate with the thread because the last one got to be 15+ pages long. Link to comment

Tehya
HI Again all! Yes I am back. Third time is the charm right? This is the third attempt at completing my first challenge. My Challenge Thread For those who know me you can skip past this part if you want. For those who don't, here is the blurb about me: I am a single mom of 2 beautiful girls, one is - ack - 14 and the other is almost 10. They have a very hard relationship with their father, which then gets me involved in stuff that I really don't want or need to be involved in. But me being the better parent, I have been divorced - THANKFULLY - from him for almost 6 years now. I had been with him for 9 years. ---- which I shouldn't have even been with him that long. It wasn't a good relationship. (that is part of what my journaling will be about) There actually has been lots of stuff going on in my life lately that has made this journey very hard. I will get there. If you wanna know more about me or what's been going on feel free to ask. I have found that its really helpful to talk about it. Red1263
Hey hey everyone! I'll be attempting my 12th? 13th? Challenge, I've failed a couple in the past, so I'm not sure exactly how many I've done. But I'm 26, unemployed, Biology graduate, trying to get into Med School, I'm working on my Handstands and I've just recently moved to a new home, so I'll be exploring lots of places here. Ummm... I'm an old-school gamer, played the classics, Mario Bros 1 to RPG, Zelda, Final Fantasy I to VII, Tactics, Rampage, Chrono Trigger, and various others, my Favorite color is Red, incase you didn't figure that one out. and here's my Challenge link! it's also in my sig. ravnos
Alright, time for the formal introduction I guess. Hello fellow Fanatics. I'm Ravnos, better known as Ian in some circles. I hail from New England, specifically the Boston area of Massachusetts. It is very snowy here this morning, which excites me a great deal. I'm a writer, technology journalist and blogger by trade, horror writer by preference. I studied Philosophy and Religion in college and hope to one day go back to teach. I'm engaged, have two cats and enjoy reading (horror, fantasy, sci-fi, comics, noir thrillers and classics mostly), playing video games and tabletop RPGs, watching movies, zombies and many, many other things. I'm also a bit of a jack of all trades. I spent a summer remodeling a house, I can fix pretty much anything smaller than a car and I am a musician as well (singer primary, but I play several instruments as well). I think that's pretty much all there is to know about me. My fitness journey began in February of 2013 when I began eating paleo/primal. Since then I've lost around 40-45 pounds (18 kg for those of you who use a measuring system that makes sense) and dropped several pant sizes. I found Nerd Fitness in August and this is my fourth challenge, second one with the Rangers. Looking forward to rocking this challenge with you all. As a side note - I'm actually joining two accountabilibuddy groups this time around, so if we're trying to keep the Fanatics smaller this challenge I can bow out to open up a spot for someone else Level 5 Viking Berserker Str: 10 | Dex: 10 | Stam: 8 | Con: 15 | Wis: 18 | Cha: 12 Battle Log || Current Challenge Log Fitocracy | My Fitness Pal | Runkeeper Twitter | Xbox Live: ravnos13 | PSN: CrawlingChaos13 Nintendo ID | Steam ID | Battle.net: ravnos#1547 Link to comment

Jonesy
Here is my official challenge thread. Jonesy's 2014.1 Challenge #9My Name is Tiffany but you can call me Jonesy. I was once a World of Warcraft addict and that is how I found Nerd Fitness. I live a pretty stress free life, just myself and my dog, Eepha. I don't live an exciting or active life, just work and my book club. I've started playing Guild Wars 2 and gone back to playing DragonAge.After 8 challenges, some successful and some not, I think I found my problem. I'm a lazy person, which leads me to making the wrong decisions when it comes to my health and taking the easy way out. This (laziness) has to be my biggest hurdle where weight loss and health are concerned. This challenge I'm trying to make it as simple and straight forward as I can which hopefully lead to a successful challenge. Nice to meet you all! Holiday time was a hard time for many last challenge. I did great going into my Spartan race, but after that was over, the old me came back too much. I'll get official starting numbers on Monday, but I know I've gained back a lot of weight I had lost before. So back on it. No excuses. As for me, I've been gaming for a long time too. All the way back to Atari 2600 days Not much of a console gamer anymore though. Mostly I play World of Warcraft now, and Pokemon X/Y on my 3DS. One of my favorite all time games on the PC is Grim Fandango. I've played it so many times. I even thought of loading it up to play again recently. I really like Knights of the old republic too. I played through that a few times. Tateland.com, Instagram, Fitbit Link to comment

RPG is my favorite form of game since I was introduced to D&D in the last 1970's ...... Absolutely! The only D&D that I did pretty much ignored all the rules - example is if you had a creative kill story-telling wise, you could 1-shot monsters. Also, I think the hairy guy in the group (which would usually be me) was a elf/werewolf. I don't think that's doable. Link to comment

Depends on what edition you played. 2.0 AD&D pretty much allowed anything - I played a Water Elemental/Dragon.... As a side note: Allowing one-shot kills for creative story-telling kills is pretty much a necessity from a good game master.. if they don't allow them (within reason) they suck, or are way too rules focused. Anyone not 100% sure about goals? I know that I want to read more but I haven't set a certain amount/time yet. I think I'll read tomorrow and see how long it takes to finish a chapter and base it off of that. There's still some space left if anyone else would like to join. Link to comment

moomin
If you don't mind me joining, here's my thread! I'm a 27 year old hobbit (5'1") med student doing my first official 6 week challenge. I have found NF around 2 months ago and kept a battle log since. I've found that the accountability by posting what I did really helped. I basically do body-weight workouts and cardio on alternate days and I'm constantly working at progressing. There's been some progress but I'm definitely still a beginner. I'll be facing more challenges in terms of being more consistent in the coming weeks when I foresee myself to be super busy with preparing for my professional exams (a.k.a. the big boss), so I'm hoping that by joining this community that would provide me with more motivation. Plus, I like to learn from others! So I can steal your moves and incorporate them into my workouts. *Level 3 Hobbit Adventurer*Moomin 3 - Heart of an Adventurer2 - Maintenance therapy 1- Keep charging ahead "Life is akin to sailing against the current - forge ahead or be washed downstream" -- Ancient Chinese proverb Link to comment
