Also, I'm not doing the 1st mini challenge for the adventurer's because I like my goals and don't think they are too hard or not challenging enough. Most of the time I already take that into account before I do create the goals. Select that, then select "Media" from the drop down menu and paste the URL in the appropriate place.Thanks!! In regards of the adventurer's mini-challenge I change my goals a little bit, I drop to once a week the pull-up goal, I have a big life goal that is unchangeable, so the fitness and habits things is more of a reminder for me... I tweaked my goal to be 7 chapters a week, or average of 1 a day. The first book I'm reading has shorter chapters so it'll be easy, while the next book will be substantially harder. Link to comment

The veggies, onion, carrots, broccoli, cauliflower, bell peppers, and butternut squash. I forgot to add in celery, but it came out fine. Also the chicken broth was ok that I used, plus some spices. Basically chicken noodle soup without the noodles. :-)I've been pretty down and out the last few days. Been trying to recover from this cold. Lost a few pounds though, so eating is on par. My soup has lasted me a good while this week I get ya here. I have a lingering cough. Good job on the weight loss!!! My soup has lasted me a good while this week I haven't attempted soup again since my chicken soup is a whole cooked chicken picked apart, carrots, egg noodles, butter beans, garlic, onions, and celery. I feel like on whole 30 that no noodles and no beans would really kill the whole soup. Supposed I should try just making a different version though. You almost through this cold? Clarys! It had to have been from yesterday's workout. Instead of feeling like crap, I'm happy. I want to exercise again and get back into the groove. I'll be attempting a small workout tomorrow morning (hopefully with my g/f). The first week is almost wrapped up- how is everyone else doing? Link to comment

moomin Posted January 11, 2014 Report Share Posted January 11, 2014 Yayy I just finished my workouts for week 1! The challenge has really been helping me a lot. At the very least, it helps me feel productive when studying doesn't always go my way. I just put on my hard hat and workout for 30 minutes and I feel that at least I have done something good that day! I have high expectations of myself in terms of studying progress, and I have to deal with negative feelings when I don't meet those expectations. For me, I lay down simple enough goals that it becomes something I need to keep track of in the back of my mind. I know there are some people that have grading scales and point distribution of grades, but for me it's making a habit and sticking with it- pass or fail. I'm not knocking other ways of having challenges set up: different things work for different people. However for me, the simpler the goals, the less stress there is. That doesn't make them easier, but it makes them concise enough to not worry about them. I plan my goals with enough leeway that I'm not forcing myself into doing something- instead I'm choosing to do something. Like with my tweaked reading goal- I don't want to feel like I have to read a chapter a day, so instead it's 7 chapters a week. I'll be bored one day and it'll pop in my head, "I WANT to read a bit." Instead of, "It's Wednesday, I'm tired, and now I HAVE to read." There's a big difference for me by doing that. I'm not obligated, it's something I want to do. 1 Link to comment

I want to become awesome-insane too!But that's an ultimate goal. Right now I need to keep myself sane. So I have really basic goals. Just keep being healthy and move for 30 minutes a day. Much better than sitting down whole day cramming. I should have no problem of meeting my goal each week.... Hell there might even be some weeks I do more, but I'm not going to push myself to hard.
