Vella
After her last challenge, Vella was feeling fairly proud of herself. She had grown leaner, stronger. But she knew that was not enough. If she were called upon to defend a city, she would be found woefully inadequate. And so, a new challenge arriving, Vella gathered her thoughts and devised new goals, those that would keep her moving forward in the new year, towards a body and skill set that any radioactive spider would be proud to bite. Main Goals: 1: Parkour. Last challenge, this goal was one of Vella's weak areas. She needed something more specific, something to work towards. So, she divided one large goal into smaller sub-goals. She will, by the end of the challenge:Be able to roll from standing; Increase both the length of hder jumps and her stability on landing; Increase the height she is able to jump to; Work on improving her balance. She will accomplish this by practicing at least once a week. Attributes: +3 Dex, +2 Sta (self-explanatory)A - Complete training every week, all improvements exceeding expectationsB - Complete training every week, some improvements made OR large improvements, but missed 2 or more training sessionsC - Missed 2 or more training sessions, and baseline improvements madeFail - Missed more than 4 sessions AND/OR no or very few improvements made 2: Conquering the Pull-Up. Vella has been improving at this since she began the last challenge, and she thinks it's about time she incentivised herself. She is getting closer to 45 degrees inverted rows. So, by the end of the challenge, she wants to be able to do a single pull-up. Attributes: +3 Str (self-explanatory)A - Multiple Pull-upsB - Single Pull-upC - Multiple sets of negativesFail - Only one set of negatives, or still on inverted rows. 3: Sleep. Vella has always been known for her inability to hold to a normal sleeping pattern. She should really get better at this, since it has been known to affect her schooling. Therefore, she will go to bed at or by midnight every night. Attributes: +3 Con, +1 Wis (requires planning, hopefully increases ability to withstand daily happenings)A - 40 days or moreB - 36-40 daysC - 33-36 daysFail - Less than 34 days Life Goal: Harp Practice. Vella decided to take up the harp a little while back, but she's notoriously bad at practicing. Now she has returned to my home, and thus has her harp again, she shall practice more. Specifically, once a day for minimum 15 minutes, but preferably 30 mins Attributes: +3 Wis, +1 Cha (Wisdom for the extra skills, Charisma for the aid in performances)A - 40 + days, 35+ for 30 minutesB - 36-40 days, 30+ for 30 minutesC - 32-36 days, 30+ for 30 minutesFail - Less than 32 days, less than 30 days for 30 minutes. Let the training begin! 1 Previous challenges: (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) Link to comment

Lilith
You have great goals! Most things I want to learn too (but hey, you can't put EVERYTHING into one challenge ) so I'm definitely rooting for you! Go get those parkour skills and pullups! And sleeping, well that's one thing I don't need to learn like you. I'm great at sleeping and I always keep to my pattern. Sleeping is great *cheers for sleeping* Level 7 Assassin Cat - Meow! Sleeping is great *cheers for sleeping* I really, really had to work to narrow my life goal down to one - I had so much trouble coming up with quantifiable fitness goals, but life goals just keep coming That probably says a lot about me ...I've had a dubious relationship with sleep since I was born (not even kidding - ask my parents about 2am beach trips and 4am bike rides ...), only now I have actual responsibilities, it's migrated into the famous before sleep = can't I stay up a little longer? After sleep = Can't I just sleep for five more minutes? However, jetlag has messed up my sleeping pattern to the point where I'm on normal people time (how's that for a statement?), so I'm going to capitalise on this while I have it Woo! Let's do this! *high five* Yeah! Previous challenges: (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) Link to comment
Lilith
Haha well, it's great that you want to work on normalising sleep. Think it will be convenient for random life stuff, but will also give you more energy! Writing out the goals just the way you want them is difficult, it's why I still haven't posted my challenge yet. Still tweaking and trying to surpress the BUT I COULD ALSO DO THIS no no I already decided what it's going to be for this challenge. Will have to just log my other ideas for a different one! Go forth and rock! *\o/* We'll see how we go. I just realised I have three functions in a row this weekend (it's getting close to my birthday and all), so here's hoping I don't throw myself off then! DAY 1:Went for a walk, barefoot, to try and get the technique up for parkour. It's not a training session, but I'll put credit towards the goal for it.Also rows practice - I'm at about 45 degrees for four sets - 4, 5, 5, 4. Better than last time (4, 4, 3, 2)! But still needs work. I'll post X/42 day stats later tonight, after harp practice. Previous challenges: (1) (2) (3) (4) (5) (6) Link to comment
