Goal #1

Take care of my skin

Action Careful Skin Care through moisturizing, facials, callus care, Epsom salt baths, and gentle cleanliness

How Much - Everyday

 

I have done this everyday and I can tell how good it is for my body, although I did the minimal a day or two and don't want to get in that habit!    :orange:

Goal #2

Take care of my digestion

Action- Affectionate Cooking

How Much -two meals  per week

 

I cooked one meal this week. I was able to eat at home a lot more than usual which was really great. I'm enjoying the idea of prepping and cooking. Now to convince myself to get in there and burn some shit!      :highly_amused:

Goal #3

Take care of my muscles

Action - Faithful Massage and PT w/dancing

How Much - Everyday

 

Not great on this one. Massage was okay, but the dancing and PT exercises have been truly lacking. Time to step it up!       :tiger:

C-

 

Life Quest:

Action Find things that I like or am interested in doing, and do some! Examples -Cleaning the House, Sewing, Writing, Photography, Walking/Hiking, Swimming, Gaming, Playing Cards, Pool, etc…

How Much - Two hours per week (no less than 20 minutes at a time)

  

I tried a few things, mostly that I have already done so I knew I would like them. I'm giving myself partial credit for these due to the fact that jumping into newness with both feet is asking too much of myself. I'm doing that in the cooking department which is infinitely more important right now. Sewing, Yoga, Winter Walking, Rearranging Bedroom (many times - including how I make my bed!) to find how I like it,      :sneakiness:

Overall, it was a good week. The fall of intense motivation came around day four, but I was able to keep up with most of the goals so I kicked myself into gear (with help from all of you as well). I feel good and it feels good to feel good! Lol I have flapjacks to try and open-faced tuna fish sandwiches to do. I am certain one of those will happen tonight!!!!

Yea, I have chicken to cook and curried rice to make.

I also will be attempting flapjacks! I like their thinness compared to pancakes.

I'm hoping I can muster up some motivated action to really have a good showing with food cooking this week.

There's actually a difference between pancakes and flapjacks? Huh, never know that, I always thought that flapjacks was the original name for pancakes.

My flapjacks came out really well. My friend liked them as much as I did.

They were really nice on the tops (first side cooked) and a little less brown on bottom (a few seconds more should fix that). Oh, and they were tasty!

Hum.. you might be right about the names. I just always assumed that the flapjack was thinner. IDK

 

How am I????

I am well, really well.

I find I am rounding a corner in the kitchen, mostly around foods.

 

No longer eating:

bologna

bagels

packaged cookies

candy (minus gourmet chocolates)

Dr Pepper (obviously)

All soda

 

Considering the following things in the very near future:

no snacks between meals (if I'm sitting in the kitchen and the food is not completely junk, then that counts as a meal)

drinking a lot more water

self talking more when I feel emotionally nauseous about eating or drinking

buying and using a FITBIT Force (any comments about the quality of this is welcome)

 

So, how is everyone else?

I'ma gonna go check!

The heat is almost at it's end. We have been pretty lucky that we have been able to keep downstairs cool enough to sleep and live. We are hoping that the cool change gets here early enough so that we can deflate the camp mattress and let Junior sleep in her cot tonight.

Some moron has started some grass fires about 5km's from us which is nice. Roads are blocked and there are firetrucks going everywhere but no property damage has been reported yet but the wind is about to change direction so nobody knows what will happen. It can't get to us but it's not nice for those in the firing line.

I just cooked my curried rice (and regular rice for my housemate) and it came out pretty well. I will use more curry powder next time.

I also put my chicken in the fridge to defrost!

Being prepared and thinking ahead is THE key to eating good foods - For myself I slack so easily if I don't prep ahead and have things ready.  It's to easy to go pick something up that way.

Tomorrow I have my talk with my partner. We are one month into our separation and I don't have the answer she wants (or the one that I want). Suffice it to say, I'm not doing well... at all.
