I worked out daily for over a year and burnt myself out.  About six months ago, I "took a break" and have done almost no exercise since then and stopped monitoring my food intake.  My weight has crept up and I have lost most, if not all of the muscle I had worked so hard to gain.  I am keeping my goals fairly simple to ensure I am able to do them.  I am being somewhat ambiguous on my exercise goals because I don't want to burn out again.  I don't want to tie myself down with a strict fitness plan because I want to be able to incorporate fun activities such as gymnastics or the trampoline place and not have to be concerned about getting an EXTRA workout when I am able to go do other things.

MAIN QUEST:

To get back down below my Weight Watchers goal weight with some extra wiggle room.

MISSIONS:

1.  Drink an entire Nalgene bottle of water EVERY day.

2.  Track my Weight Watchers points EVERY day

3.  Perform some sort of exercise or physical activity EVERY day

SIDE QUEST:

Apply to American Sign Language interpreter program.

MOTIVATION:

Summer is coming!  I love doing things when it's sunny and warm!

Back when I was working out and eating right, I was happier and more energetic.  I want that back!

Hiiiiii!

Sounds nice and sustainable. Sustainable attainable. Etc. Needs more official gymnastics time if you ask me. Also do you do the trampoling at a SkyZone? I've always wondered how those places are, but I've never been.

I agree! More gymnastics time would be awesome! I don't have a car right now though, so have no definite way to get there :(

I go to Sky High Sports...it's awesome!! The floor and walls are covered in trampolines! There is a dodgeball court and a foam pit to do tricks into! Groupon has deals for these places a lot and can get two hours for the price of one!

Goals look simple and clean. Totally doable. Good luck! Let me know if I can help!

Thanks for the support!

Day 1 was a success! I tracked everything I ate (excluding fruit and vegetables cuz they're free on Weight Watchers) and stayed below my daily allowance, drank all my water, and went for a "run." I use the quotes because my planned three mile run became a one mile run plus a two mile walk...turns out I've lost all the stamina I had built up! O well! Time to get it back!

I planned to print off ASL school applications, but my computer died on me! Friend said its probably the video card and told me what to get to replace it, but Best Buy was sold out so I had to order it on amazon...since I don't have a car, I wasn't able to check anywhere else and therefore don't have a computer for the rest of the week! NOOOO!

I really like how clean cut and simple your goals are. They're not fancy goals but they seem like they could be pretty effective and I look forward to seeing your continued success.

Thanks for the support! Being my first time, I figured I should focus on simple things I know I'm fully capable of doing, but still a bit of a challenge (the every day parts-no excuses!)

Day 2 also successful. I did go a couple points over my daily goal, but still have a lot of weekly and exercise points available. Found a short workout video on YouTube that, I'm ashamed to say, kind of kicked my butt haha! Also, I've decided the Nalgene of water needs to be in addition to what I drink during my workout, otherwise it's just too easy.

Good stuff, Nightcrawler_bamff!

Keep on, keeping on. Fellow Weight Watchers guy here using that program to monitor my diet also. Love the activity points trade offs.

Also... kick ass name! By far one of my favorites from X-Men.

Day 3 was successful, to an extent. I did a short workout video before work this morning, which I was very proud of myself for getting up in time to do that, drank all my water, and tracked my points. I did go over my daily points and had to dip into my weekly allowance, though. Ate at Cheesecake Factory after work with a friend and got a salad from the lower calorie menu and stayed well within my points allowance...it was the bread that did me in! So hard to resist it when they bring it to you still hot!! O well...that's what the weekly points are there for!

Always good to hear from another Weight Watchers guy! We're definitely a minority!

Nightcrawler is definitely one of my favorites as well!

Day 4: workout video sucked, did not get a very good workout, but I got it done. Stayed under my WW points, and drank all my water

Day 5: Better workout than day 4, did a short morning yoga video, stayed within my points limit, and drank my water.

Day 6: Did well through lunch. But a friend brought me half a loaf of Armenian sweet bread and I ate the whole thing, ended up with only one point left to use for supper which I definitely ate more than. However, I did not go over my limit by much, and I feel the bread was definitely worth dipping into my weekly allowance! Overall, still considering it successful!

Hey man... just getting caught up on your progress. Sounds like a damn good choice for a Quest. Looking forward to following along, man!

Thanks! More of a getting back into the habit of eating right and exercising than anything...just needed the extra push of being held accountable to get started!!

Mmmm, that bread sounds good. And it was a gift it sounds like, so no harm done really. Sounds like you had a strong opening week!

Armenian sweet bread...  mmmmm.

I'd use all the points for that too. My weekends are always the hardest for me, it's no-rules club on food and drink half the time. Thank god I racked up a ton of activity points this week.

Sounds like you had a killer week though, bummer on the crappy Day 4 video workout.

Cheers!

Haven't updated the last couple days...oops!

Week 1:  SUCCESS!  I exercised every day, drank all my water every day, and tracked my points every day.  There were days that my workout wasn't fantastic, but still got it done!  Did the beginner body weight workout this morning-great workout!  I will likely be doing this every other day now!  I did go over my points on a couple days, but still tracked, which I was proud of myself for and is the most important part.  Stayed within my weekly and exercise points though, so 100% success!

Also, I weighed myself on day seven...already below my weight watchers goal!!  Now to add the extra wiggle room that I'm used to having!

Thanks, everyone for the replies!  They definitely are helping me keep accountable and on track!!!
