*****UPDATES*****

 

 

FRIDAY

 

Gym

 

Run 2 miles - treadmill

 

shuffle, sideways, backwards, footwork drills

 

Then 5 Rounds of:

 

20 walking lunges

20 knee push-ups w/ alternating row (15#DB)

20 short crunches w/ 15#DB

20 bicycle sit ups

20 leg raises

 

Should've upped the weight, but I was feeling blehhh

 

"Heavy" Lifts:

 

Back Squat

 

5X5@115

 

Push Press

 

5X5@85

 

Dead Lift:

 

3X3@150

 

I kinda had to be somewhere so I'm not sure why but I upped the weight a bit and did 3X3 instead of 5X5. Very pinchy on mah fingers. (tore a small callous. Isn't that some kind of initiation into the not-so-lame? awww...I try)

 

Oh! And realized as I was leaving the gym that I totally forgot to do Bench Press. :/ What is up with me??

 

Diet - still primal though HIGH caloric intake. I think I must have been making up for the lack of calories being busy at work earlier this week. Yeesh :/

 

 

SATURDAY

 

 

Went to a local Crossfit box for a free Saturday workout. Note: the free ones are usually the lamererererer ones. But I'll take what I can get. :D

 

WOD

 

3 rounds of: (for time)

 

300m run                      (well...I ran...duh)

9 clean and thruster    (did 75# - which was Rx.....that is a lame ass Rx..I think its usually 95# clean Rx for woman at most places....?)

12 pull-ups                   (did kipping w/ assisted band...mehhh)

15 box jumps                (did the 20" box)

 

I did this in aboooouuuttt 17 min? 17:12? Ish? finished around the same time as some others so didnt quite hear the number they called when I yelled time. Ehh well.

 

Dude ...them clean/thrusters was heavy, yo. I may develop strong-calloused-man-hands, yet. Oorrrrr, just look like I'm molting of leprosy of the digits.

TaeKwon-Do

 

Stretched a lot. (forearms still a-burning from all the thrusting (heheheh) I did at CF.

 

Did all the patterns until 2nd degree...then taught some new 3rd degrees their first pattern. Which was really fun because only the people that WANT to learn come to the advanced classes on Saturdays. And I LURVES to teach those who will truly soak it up. It gets me PUMPED!! :D . ..Ran over it about 10 times or so...doing drills on some movements.  Didn't get to any bag work, but this was all about an hour and a half on the DoJung floor. Ill take it.

 

Diet - Yeaaahhhhhhh.....so ....

 

I went to a friend's house party tonight....

 that's... all Im going to say.

 

I was pretty decent, but I may have slipped some primal stuff. (brownies arent primal????)

I work the next 3 days ...so...going to be busy again. Going to try to get up EACH DAY to workout before shifts!!!

Gotta love it when you get to train with people who want to be there. I can only appreciate it from a student's perspective, but as an instructor, that's got to kick ass.

 

Now. Get up early and train! You've got a bunch of callouses to tear yet! :D

So.....I didn't get much sleep last night. I tossed and turned. I even woke up on time to go to the gym... it wasn't restful sleep. Knowing I had to last through 12 hours on a Sunday, I decided I needed to skip the gym and TRY to get an extra hour and a half of sleep.

 

I didn't really help much. :/ Buuuut, I'm sure it was better than trying to push my body to get even less than that and have a half-ass workout. Besides, I didn't really take a rest day this week so far anyway.

 

Sorry, guys. :( I appreciate the accountability. though. SO MUCH!!

 

Hopefully tonight I was get better rest and be ready for Monday morning! :)

It IS exciting. It's like being a newb and rediscovering how awesome your body can be all over again! And then seeing others get passionate about it just doubles the fun! :)

You're welcome! When we were in Richmond I thought of you cuz on Saturday we went to the ymca twice for workouts... I was all oooh I'm like Cheechoe going to the gym twice in one day ;) (although once was for workouts once was for hot tubs... there was only one workout)

I understand the long shifts... I work twelves overnight... not much happens on work days... sometimes my first night I stay up till five and gym before sleep... and sometimes on my third night I go after work before sleep... it NEVER happens before work... never...

(sent by the phone. .. all mistakes are the phones fault)
