Based on that, I'd decide whether or not to stay out of it entirely, or join the COO's team, cuz...well, there'd be BEER and STEAKS Yeah. I'm leaning that direction. He wants to win. COO and my boss have a very good working relationship. COO is technically my boss's boss.... and he saw me in booty shorts... *sigh* and yeah... there would be beer. Oh and I'm pretty sure I could get the team to do a boot camp outside work one day which would be freaking hilarious. You are awesome and I'm super glad we had a chance to chat, albeit briefly. And the answer is obvious... PLAY TO WIN. Love you! Stop eating all the food!!!! Good luck with your competition!! Yeah... win win win Play nice and so amazingly that either team you're on wins? Or umm... Make your own team :3°~° I don't see how my boss's team can win. But since it's accumulated minutes versus activity, they might. Spousal unit suggested I join the vacuuming the house team. LOL. I don't think I can make my own team. But here's a twist - people were supposed to pick countries going to the olympics.... nobody picked the US yet... WHAT? 'murica? cline
Training last night was good. Rows, 5x2 squats at 80%, and a bunch of assistance work. Cardio was super brisk walk home 2mi from the gym. BRRRRRR it was so cold. So the walk was really brisk and totally counts as cardio. Diet on track. Still doing really well with it. elbow still improving. Guess that's about it. 1 I AM going the distance 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. I am actually starting to think we might make it fun. Stopped off to chat with the organizer of my team and we are going to hold all our meetings as walking meetings, do pushups in the office, etc. We are devising plans to intimidate the other teams - team shirts, towels around our necks b/c we are always working out, boot camp in the cafeteria.... I think we are actually going to do it. LOL. So could be fun. As I told spousal unit last night: Cheaters always win. cline
Yesterday's training: BANNER day. So here's the thing with PRs and why I don't PR. You have to come back and a few days later you have a program that says pull 95% 3x1. Now if you shoot for a big ass PR you are royally screwed. Versus if you build up strength slow and steady and increase in small, regular intervals, you are likely to make it. So.... after 10 warm up pulls, I completed another 10 pulls working up to my 95% and then BAM!!!! Pulled all three!!! SQUEEEE which means I pulled 300# x 3 yesterday. Then I did 5x8 heavy rows. Mmmmm... rows. Then I did a brisk walk home for cardio because well.... it's rather brisk outside. 2 mi good walk. I got home and decided "I'll prepare all the food" for the next 2 days - snacks, meals, etc. So I got out my roasting pans and put pork in and 2 trout fillets and a salmon fillet. I made up my paleo approved chicken snausages with sugar free sauerkraut. I packaged up my sweet potatoes for snacks and meals and put in my veg out and thought "ahhhh... all is right with the world for 2 days now". So after an hour of zoo keeping and cooking I sat down to dinner at 9p. And then I packaged my food for two days thusly: Dinner last night: chicken snausages (measured) with sauerkraut and broccoli, sweet potatoesBreakfast: pork (measured) w brussel sprouts, sweet potatoes And then... whilst weighing all my food I came to the realization I had meal 3 for day: trout fillets - when weighed, I needed both. STUPID TROUT. Sweet potatoesLunch: chicken snausages, sauerkraut, broccoli, kale, sweet potatoesmeal 4 for the day: salmon fillet that was supposed to be my dinner b/c one stinking fillet is now a damned snack. Fish are stupid. Sweet potatoes.Dinner: pork, sweet potatoes, veg. So.... all that food = 24 hours of food. Which means I have more cooking tonight. Tilapia and shrimps thawing in the fridge. Damn you fishes. Why you so small? But after all the cooking, I watched Downton Abbey and all was right again in the world b/c kitteh was with me and I had a glass of wine. Life it too freaking good. Then on the bus this a.m. I ran into an old friend and some of my neighbors and even though the bus was so late and so crowded, I was so happy. 2 I AM going the distance 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance. cline
That deadlift picture is awesome. Glad to hear the diet it going well! Is it less hard now? Thanks! No. Unfortunately. It's so much damned food. I eat all the time and am not enjoying it. It takes forever to prepare my 10,000 meals for every day. Weighing everything... boooo. But I finish a meal and then I'm hungry in about an hour. I mean tummy growling hungry. That's messed up. I AM going the distance 'Cause all I wanna do is go the distance.
