Fonzico
Great week! Looks like straight As to me Excellent job realizing that just because you can have a cookie doesn't mean you must. Panczo
kudos to you for that walk - it requires lots of self-discipline to do a different workout than you were mentally prepared for... I would probably just pass it all together u hit all your goals for the week great job L :D Elf Druid - Level 8 looking around for happiness || tracking || #intro || #old "Most people think they’ll feel good once they reach some goal. Laureleye
Monday was another 15,000 step day. Jump rope workout in the evening, but couldn't do the full workout. Usually I do 1 minute jump/1 minute rest x6 + 2 minute jump, but I could only get in 5 repeats before I was dying. Tuesday was a nice & easy 12,000 step day with a planned strength workout. I only was able to finish 2 of the 3 circuits. I think the last 4 weeks with essentially no rest has finally gotten to me; I am just so tired & my shoulders are continously achy. The plan is a walk on Thursday, Friday night rest, do nothing but a few short walks on Saturday, and Strength on Sunday. tough to lay off the gardening Saturday, but I really think I need to do it. Today I finished the Nutrition portion of the NF academy, so I'm still making progress there. 1 The hardest part of the workout is lacing up your shoes'"10 | 11 | 12 | 13 | 14 | 15 | Current Challenge |INTJ | MFP | FitBit Link to comment

Laureleye
Sounds like a really good plan! Hope it went well for you and you are feeling rested!Well, I'm more rested after my break; the only problem is that I took too much of a break. Didn't track my food for 2 days and ended up being 200-300 calories over my target. But, I got back on track Sunday so I'm not going to beat myself up. My week 4 looks like this1. Workouts: I'm going to build up from 1 workout/week required, to 5 workouts/week by the 5th week - adding one workout/week. No more than 2 walking workouts/week. I think my first week or so back to the office is till going to be crazy, so this will get me moving without stressing myself to death. Two strength sessions, a jump-rope and walk/run intervals. Pretty good week for workouts.2. Food tracking: Weeks 1 & 2 I'm just going to track without a lot of concentration on calorie level. Weeks 3 - 5 will be +/- 100 calories of my target 6 days/week. Fail! Skipped tracking for 2 days and too much junk. Back on track now.3. NF Academy: I joined the academy and started the training but then got overtaken. I want to finish the reading and be ready to start a new workout plan for the next challenge. Completed the nutrition portion. Side Quests:1. Dental Cleaning.2. Weekly meal plans. This was a great help during the last challenge, so I'm adding it as a side quest again. Meal plan complete. Laureleye
I got the final week of the challenge off to a good start. I'm determined to finish in style. I was busy at work, and with my walk/run intervals, finished up the day with 17,000 steps. Got my eating on target with 3 calories remaining for the day. I got a meatloaf made - tomorrow I just have to pop it in the oven and head for my workout. 1 The hardest part of the workout is lacing up your shoes'"10 | 11 | 12 | 13 | 14 | 15 | Current Challenge |INTJ | MFP | FitBit Link to comment
Fonzico
Excellent start! Finish strong, it'll make you feel so good Although, you've had a really strong challenge overall, especially considering the hecticness - I'm sure having your goals to focus on prevented that stressful time from causing a derailment. Best of luck in this final week! Yes, it is helping keep me from derailing - otherwise I'd throw in the towel now. Had to leave work Tuesday night with a migraine and wasn't up to work Wednesday. But I did keep my eating under control and finished on-target for both days. I was feeling pretty good by Wednesday afternoon, so I finished off the baby blanket I was working on and started knitting a new one. Good thing too; I found out that 3 coworkers are expecting by summer. I did skip my planned Tuesday workout, so I think I'm just going to fall short. Strength or kettlebells when I get home tonight, depending on my mood. Laureleye
Sorry to hear about the migraine, but glad you recovered quickly. Photo of baby blanket? Cruising into the last days of this challenge! No photo of the one I just finished, cause I just wasn't happy with it. It's done, but I don' like it. I hate it when that happens. The one I've got it progress is going to be very cute however. Too tired (mentally) for strength or kettelbells, so I did some jump rope. Did a run on Friday - made a full mile without stopping, then about 1/2 mile to cool down. We went out for Valentines's, but I had crablegs (and went easy on the butter) so I did well. Saturday was a trip to the Theodore Payne foundation (California native plant nursery non-profit) & bought some plants to fill in the yard a bit. Sunday I woke up with another headache, but with judicious application of ice and pain relievers & made it to my lunch date with my neice. We tossed baby in the stroller after and made a 3-mile walk, so I managed a workout after all! The high point of the walk was my neice trying to teach the baby how to blow dandylion fluff - only he inhaled. No harm done, but his face was priceless. Shock...that tough decision - do I cry?...then laughing and laughing instead. Now for the challenge round-up1. Workouts: I'm going to build up from 1 workout/week required, to 5 workouts/week by the 5th week - adding one workout/week. No more than 2 walking workouts/week. I think my first week or so back to the office is till going to be crazy, so this will get me moving without stressing myself to death. I slipped on the last week of this due to a migraine, but all in all I feel pretty good.2. Food tracking: Weeks 1 & 2 I'm just going to track without a lot of concentration on calorie level. Weeks 3 - 5 will be +/- 100 calories of my target 6 days/week. I fell off twice during the challenge for a couple of days. I need to really tighten this up for next challenge.3. NF Academy: I joined the academy and started the training but then got overtaken. I want to finish the reading and be ready to start a new workout plan for the next challenge. I got a number of lessons in, but didn't get as far as I had originally envisioned. I'll have to dig in to be ready to start the next challege. Side Quests:1. Dental Cleaning. Did not get this scheduled.2. Weekly meal plans. This was a great help during the last challenge, so I'm adding it as a side quest again. Did a great job on this one. Not my best chalenge ever, but I didn't totally fall off, so I'll take it. ShadowLion
Good for you for hanging in there with the big move and all the long hours. You did great! Hope you can get some garden time in soon, now that things are settling down. Love the word picture of the baby and the dandelion fluff - too cute! All men dream, but not equally.
