Matt_72
I'm sorry to hear about your boss.. But on the other hand I'm so excited that you're back!! What else has been going on in the last 6 months?! Hey Fonz! I'm good thanks. I saw my heart guy on Tuesday and he doesn't want to see me for 12 months so that's awesome! I got through my 10km today unscathed. It was slow but it was relentless forward motion. I'm booked in for a 1/2 in October so now I need to start training properly for that. It's nice to not have to train crazily and still complete 10km but it's not ideal. Apart from that I've been heavily involved in the community garden. We're planting 18 fruit trees in our orchard next Saturday and I'm busting balls to get it all happening! Lots of photos to follow. Then I'll come check out your thread/s? The story of today. Everyone has beef cheek the night before a run right? Made this chicken "baked" in butter this week. Ridonkulous! My patch at the garden full of cool season produce. 1 Quote Level 8 Satyr ScoutSTR 11|DEX 5|STA 10|CON 9|WIS 12|CHA 5 Previous Challenge Woot What?MFPEndomondo Link to comment
Kage
This is so great to see. Cooking is something with which I struggle tremendously. I love it, but I'm intimidated by it. Thank you for sharing your story-- ups and downs-- for us to learn from. 1 Quote Link to comment
Matt_72
Wowee! 2 years to the day since I posted here. A lot has happened in the past 2 years but I will try and compress it. We bought a house, we move in in 3 weeks time! I saw my cardiologist 12 months ago and he said that I don't have to see him again! I ran a half marathon in April 2017 and was terribly under-prepared and as a result was injured for about 5 months with very little running. On Sunday I will be running the half marathon at Run Melbourne. My aim is to finish in under 2:15 and I will then qualify for a 28km trail run in January. I am fundraising for the Heart Foundation in the hopes that their research will benefit people like me who have required treatment for cardiac conditions. If you have a few spare bucks I would really appreciate the support.https://runmelbourne2018.everydayhero.com/au/matt-runs-with-heart 1 Quote Level 8 Satyr ScoutSTR 11|DEX 5|STA 10|CON 9|WIS 12|CHA 5 Previous Challenge Woot What?MFPEndomondo Link to comment

Matt_72
Hey Fonz, Thanks for checking in! Run Melbourne half went really well. Got finished in 2.05.25 which I was very happy with. That's got me locked into a crazy 28k trail run in the middle of summer so all training is going to be designed around that for the next 4 months. How are you? Quote Level 8 Satyr ScoutSTR 11|DEX 5|STA 10|CON 9|WIS 12|CHA 5 Previous Challenge Woot What?MFPEndomondo Link to comment
