Yes, it is! The frustrating part is that I really CAN see the positive benefits I get from meditation and visualization-- but I still struggle with doing it regularly. It's easier for me to get my miles in each day than to sit still and quietly focus. Oh well-- I guess that means lots of room for improvement :redface-new:.

On a more serious note: I just came through an awful couple of days-- a kid ran into the street in front of me as I was driving with my daughter. We braked and swerved but couldn't avoid her. It was the most horrifying and traumatic experience I've ever known. Fortunately, she was okay (just bumps and bruises)-- but waiting to find out if she was injured was the worst night of my life. If it weren't for being able to turn off the noisy monkeys in my head and focus (in small increments) on the present moment, I'm sure I would have lost my mind.

Cowgirls--

I have to say that not eating out has been surprisingly easy.

And has been the catalyst for creating new and delicious lentil dishes (and strange but tasty oatmeals)...

Any favorite eats you've recently discovered?

Hmm. Tell me more about this oatmeal. What is it like?

I have been going nuts over soup. I like it because it's simple to make, and you can make a lot of it for the future. Yum, yum. My recent creation was a slow cooked chicken, coconut, and cashew stew. Tasty!

I apoloise for not being around much the last couple of weeks ladies.

I have become hopelessly addicted to a game on my ipad called the Hobbit. It's one of those long term city building kinda games (lots of levelling up!). I complain that it is sucking up my time but I'm actually loving it lol.

Woah, that game sounds fun. No worries, a totally respectable excuse! How have your fitness goals been going? Also, how is the weather where you are?

My oats involve egg whites, shredded carrots, almond milk, flax seeds, and anything else that falls in the pot :)
