I just posted my Week 3 summary. Not perfect. Not great. I did OK. 

 

I hope week 4 is better.

Overall, "going to bed/sleep" is better as I do go to bed more often. Not as much as it should, but way better than before.

It's Thursday, and I haven't worked out yet, though I am playing tennis every day.

Between my sleep and med, I'm really struggling to do anything other than tennis.

I bought a used Mac last week, and it's still sitting on the living room floor.

I have to clean up my desk so I have space to put it up. My room is a total disaster.

The awesome sausages from party is saving my sanity and food intake. 

I need to come up with the detailed plan of vacation such as scheduling the theme parks, mapping the region and food prep.

Back up plan for rainy days, etc. for 3 teen age girls.

Oh shoot. I now remembered to book a rental.

And, I have to do taxes so that I have money to go to the vacation to begin with.

That means, I have to sort the all of tax documents and bills in the "in" cabby to file cabinet.

TurboTax came yesterday, I need to install it, and start working on it.

Step 1, breathe!!!!!

It almost seems to me that you are going into overload mode. When I go there, I write down everything I need to do. As I remember it, I write it down or put it in the notes app on my phone to transfer to my list.

This way, the brain is freed up to worry about other things like the willpower to get a workout in and eating well.

I managed to sort my paper work except medical related which requires finer grained comb to sift through.

Medical and medical insurance are so weird. I cannot wrap my head around what the paper work is for.

I dug out 90 - 95% of stuff for filing taxes. Papers are neatly stacked at the moment. I have to file the each stack into filing cabinet tomorrow first thing.

 

However, my home improvement payments and amount of money we spent from home equity loan are not matching. It's not looking good at the moment.

I think I'm missing one or two big bills.  I need the home improvement stuff cuz the biggie is our solar! Energy credit!

I think wanting to be "sexy" is the problem.

 

Plain or modified "sexy", it's how you are judging yourself.

Trying to put a price tag on yourself, and it's guranteed to make yourself unhappy.

Even if you are happy now, you'll be unhappy at some point.

It's like a Michael Jackson serial plastic surgery kind of unhappiness.

 

These girls are past the "price tag".

Steve talks about how she lost and lost, and didn't feel good - then started eating to lift...and just look at the photos!

 

This challenge, I have lost 11 pounds, 4 inches in my waist and 4 inches in my hips.

I lost the 11 pounds the first few weeks - but in the rest of the weeks, I gained a little bit of weight back - BUT LOST THOSE 8 INCHES!!!

 

And I feel better.

Now, I need to lose 100 pounds at least...before I can even talk about being into healthy numbers...but I am not going to look at the scale number again...or, try not to...to define myself.

 

And, I don't really care to be 'sexy' - to my husband, I'm attractive in many ways - and I don't care to attract anyone else in that way.

On the other hand - if having a joy deep within, and confidence that cannot be shaken is attractive - then that's what I want to be.

And, I'm not there yet...but those are my goals, healthy, happy and confident!

Wonder what the mantra was back in Marilyn Monroe's time. Maybe we could learn from it....

 

Personally, I don't do this to be skinny or sexy or whatever. Yes, of course I'd love to look stellar in a bikini, yes of course I'm currently working on dropping by body fat percentage, yes or course I'm doing those things. But I'm not doing those things to look sexy for anyone but me. I'm not doing them for other people's approval. I'm here to make ME feel better. My body fat is getting in the way of things I'd like to do, and honestly I don't have a lot of it. My current health situation isn't even 1/4 as bad as others anymore but I still need to get healthy and be here for my kids in the long run. I've spent enough time in hospitals and missing life that I'm not going to anymore. 

 

Strong can be the new sexy, curvy girls can be better than skinny girls, thigh gap can be a turn on, I don't bloody care and neither should any other female.

There is definitely a line between the obsession and consciousness.

 

I really don't like women who is obsessively thin. It's just not healthy.

But not being conscious at all about fitness is not sexy either.

 

Thigh gap - no. I have a teen age daughter and hope she doesn't get there.

 

Food/weight/body image for girls is so freakin' stupidly skewed, and so many women are victims.

I really feel sorry for them.

I'll be scarse for about a week and half starting tomorrow evening.

I have an option to bail out early tomorrow or do the wrap up a week later than everyone else.

It's likely I'll choose latter option.
