ReachingForTheStars
Does anyone else the thing where they take a few days off to rest and that is when the DOMS hit? I haven't worked out this weekend and haven't done handstands since the 1st. Today my shoulders are complaining-what's up with that?! Totally, especially if I take a few days rest before the workout or try a new workout. Ouchie! Relic
I think I'm overworking my shoulder and triceps with my current workout routine. Dips and dumbbell rows work the same muscle groups don't they? (totally clueless on this lol) eh, link to my challenge to make it easier to find. http://rebellion.nerdfitness.com/index.php?/topic/41946-[Kan]Surpassing-(Mis)Conceptions°~°dip and rows work opposing muscle groups for the main muscles worked, however pretty much all upper bodyweight exercises work the shoulders and there will be some other crossovers. Long story short, keep the routine you started but lower the intensity to start with so that your body has time to adjust. To find piece with myselfI must first find a piece of myself Link to comment
Nuala
Not be be a pest, but will the previous challenge's mini-challenges be granted point rewards? It will be published soon, I realised only yesterday that I totally forgot to publish the last challenge summary, I blame holidays and flu. >_> Hi everyone! New assassin. Really into climbing. Omega v1.1
Housepets? No clue. For those interested in random stats, I made the previous challenge ResultsPassed: 68Disappeared: 14Withdrawal: 3 The % of people giving up is a bit high but quite normal during holiday season. So, not too bad I know it's a bit late but I've just posted my report for the last challenge so that should be one less 'disappeared' and one more 'passed' for your stats. My new goals will be up later today- it's good to get back into it! I believe that the definition of definition is reinvention. My returning challenge Link to comment
Nuala
You were part of the "Passed" already Even if your wrap-up was late, you still updated your thread regularly. The "disappeared" are those who stopped updating their thread for 2 weeks or more. KB Girl
Does anyone else the thing where they take a few days off to rest and that is when the DOMS hit? I haven't worked out this weekend and haven't done handstands since the 1st. Today my shoulders are complaining-what's up with that?!It may also have to do with bad posture. When I workout regularly then my shoulders are fine because I'm conscious about getting them in the right positions - but if I take a few days off and maybe spend too much time on the computer etc then they'll start to hurt/nag/be generally crappy. raptron
Check the height of your desk/chair if you notice it more after being on the computer. It could be that your arms are at a funny angle. I had that problem at my old job and it gave me an awfully sore shoulder + wrist.
