Hello everybody, first challenge! YAAAYYY!

Attention, long thread ahead, but there's a shortcut to long story short  ;)

 

I'm following nerd fitness and the rebellion some weeks now and can finally participate the Level 1 challenge! It made me tingly to read all those first level stories and knew I was too late to start the whole 6 weeks! but finally, my time has come  :surprise:

 

My main goal is something I wanted to achieve every once in a while but never achieved it and I guess it's the dream of almost everyone in here

 

*drumroll*

 

A six pack! 

 

But I never had the willpower or rather the endurance to hold on to a plan because I'm getting impatient when I see no really success after a while, then disappointed and then I gave up  :(

So I set the time target for this goal to mid-june, because then are my summer holidays and I like to make a good impression at the beach when I don't want to keep my shirt on!

 

When I earlier tried to get a sixpack, I set my focus on hard training, never on my eating habits and I guess that's a big fault, because as I know now after reading the blogs here on NF, a six pack is made in the kitchen, not in the gym!  :peach:

 

So my diet quest is to eat paleo most time of the week!

 

"What does that mean, most time of the week?" I'm glad that you asked! From monday to friday I eat 3 big meals everyday (don't worry, I eat vegetables, fruits and nuts as snack between those meals ;) ), the breakfast, lunch and dinner, that are 15 meals on weekdays, on weekend I eat different, sometimes 3 big meals, sometimes only 2, so I say 5 on weekend for an even number of 20 in total.

And because there's always a chance that I eat with my friends in a restaurant once in a while or get invited, I'm now allowing myself to have two spare meals not paleo, that's 10% if my brain doesn't fail me!

 

But as we all know by now, losing fat works faster/better if you do some sports beside, and that's where my workout quest starts:

I tried an interval training last sunday and I loved it, I still feel a little bit sore in my thighs!

 

So I like to do interval three times a week!

 

But I need to get  some challenges for my upper body and my other muscles too, so I like to include a variety of workouts I do for my strength and endurance, I don't set specific workouts in these quest, because I like to do different types of workouts, the only requirement I've got for these workouts, they have to be exhausting, else it doesn't count.

 

Do exhausting workouts three times a week!

 

These are my quests for the next six weeks and I'll keep you up to date with what workout I did, how everything goes and so on!

Long story short:

 

Main goal:

Get a six pack till my summer holiday in mid-june

 

Missions:

-3 interval training per week

3x=100%

2x=75%

1x=25%

0x=FAIL

 

-3 workouts per week (strength/endurance, doesn't matter as long it's exhausting)

3x=100%

2x=75%

1x=25%

0x=FAIL

 

-eat 90% per week paleo

100-90% paleo = 100%

below 90% = FAIL

 

 

Side Quests

 

-Work on my flexibility

Maybe this is gonna be a main mission on one of my following challenges, because I can't even touch my toes

-Convince the European rebels to set an official date for the meet-up
Because it would be awesome to meet other rebels!
 
-Reduce my TV consumption
I try to minimize the time I spend in front of the TV, that's the time I need in future to do some awesome workouts
 
-Take one step after the other into the next level
I try to reach my 10'000 steps every day
 
 

These are the goals for my first 6 week challenge, I'm always open to suggestions, improvements, notes or congratulations   :tongue:

 

 

Motivation

 

To look good, become healthy, fit, strong and maybe one day even a role-model of someone I could inspire...I may not be there yet, but I'm closer than I was yesterday.

My starting weight is 72kg and the height is 173cm

Weight after 3 weeks: 70kg

Weight at the end of the first challenge: 69.2kg

That looks like fun :D

But I don't have enough space in my three room apartement for such a big tire :( fortunately there are other workouts too that makes you feel exhausted ;)

 

I'll keep you all updated which workouts I do, so maybe I can inspire some of you or give you ideas  :playful:

I really hope I do, I tried so many years now, started a new attempt every half year or so, but always stagnated after some weeks, but I really feel with the help of everybody in here, I can do it! Nerdpower!!!

So, week one is over and it was a success, did 3 workouts, 3 intervals and ate minimum 90% paleo!

Wow, congratulations! Especially on your paleo diet, I found out that it's really really really hard for beginners to switch on this completely. Especially with bread and pasta being the base of almost every meal (at least for me). 90% is very impressive! And the workouts, and the intervals... Assassins for the win! :D
