Started the first season of Arrow. Kinds feel like a dirty old lady drooling over his abs. I'll get over it. My step son and I had dreams of building a course like American Ninja. Maybe we can do a couple things this summer. I think I will work on doing a single pull up instead of a salmon ladder!

I'm building my home gym.  If I can get more room, there's tons of other things I'd like to do.

You'll totally get over it...I watch the show with my hubby & he's totally used to me drooling over the half nekkid men. He's even admitted to being impressed by Arrow's abs  :playful:

As a straight man I can still commend the eye candy in that show. More because I'm jealous though. As I've said - his physique is my "goal."

Doooo it. I wish I owned my own place, because my entire basement would be a gym/obstacle course. One day...

Until then, you just need to find an abandoned factory with a hidden foundry that no one knows about!

And be a billionaire! That is always a nice perk. Till then I am making my own Kettlebells. (Thanks TerosX).

Yea.  We are looking at houses to buy, and I keep thinking about a large backyard and a big basement.  We had some land out on a river once ... it made for a great place to run and dodge and walk on balance beam and just work HARD at moving rocks and trees.

You might look around campuses - some of them have obstacle courses.  I'm not sure why - I think there was a fitness craze a few decades back, and parks and college built these fitness courses that are now pretty much ignored.

I used to do parkour on my college campus but they get really weird about it - liability issues and all. None of the colleges in Boston have obstacle courses that I know of - at least ones open to the public. However, I live within short distance of an awesome nature reserve, so I can do run around out there once the weather cleans up a bit.

When I lived up in the Adirondacks as a kid we had a couple acres with a stream running through it - I loved it. I like living in a city, but nothing compares to living in the mountains/woods.

Today's pre-challenge workout was good. I went light, just to get myself pumped up and ready to hit it hard tomorrow. However, what I did do was 5 sets of 3 pull ups, which is a new record for me. Sweet... sweet pull ups.

You feel like taking a stroll around town to get some fresh air and get rid of the queasy feeling that's in the pit of your stomach. There has been talk of small green monsters scampering around at night. Townsfolk are required to keep to themselves and stay in their homes at night. The issue is 'under investigation.'

Yeah, okay.  Last night you overheard a drunk man babbling about 'Surdermuz coming back.'  Whatever that means.

While on your stroll you see a man with a scraggly beard and nearly shoulder-length frizzed hair spouting like a madman.  He's yelling at the local salesmen and you're intrigued.

The man yells, "EVERYONE KNOWS THAT THE EVIL ONE- SODAMUS HAS RETURNED!  HALF THE CALORIES?  0 GRAMS OF TRANS FAT?  THOSE ARE SALES PITCHES BUT ALL YOU NEED TO DO IS LOOK AT THE PRODUCT ITSELF TO SEE IT'S A LIE!  IF ANY OF YOU ARE BRAVE ENOUGH TO GET TO THE ROOT OF THE PROBLEM HERE, I WILL BE AT THE ADVENTURER'S TAVERN AT 5 P.M. TONIGHT!"

That was all the man said before the guards grabbed him by the arms and threw him to the ground.

"THEY'RE SODAMUS' MINIONS!  THOSE GREEN RAT-BASTARDS THAT ARE SNAKING AROUND AT NIGHT!"

"Pipe down or you'll get the ax," yelled a guard.  "Off with ya. It's too early to be hitting the pub with your drunken ravings."

"THE TAVERN! TONIGHT! I HAVE PROOF!" the man yelled as he fled.

The man wasn't staggering around or slurring his words. He didn't seem drunk, just really panicked. Maybe you should check out the tavern later...

Yea, I suppose.  Odd how we've become so risk-adverse in our society.  Instead of breaking a few bones, we're going to die of clogged arteries.

Oooh do enjoy the nature reserve!!  I'm planning to get out and do some geocaching soon.

Yeah, everything is about being a baby nowadays and I think it's just made us worse instead.  News makes people terrified of everything and everything needs some sort of 'safety' added to it.  Not to sound like an 80 year old man in his rocking chair, but BACK IN MY DAY there wasn't so much 'pansy-ification' of people to stay inside, lock their doors, and stay away from everyone.

I used to spend my summers mountain biking, swimming in a river, climbing trees and playing around in the wilderness... preaching to the choir here.

My cubby house was a dilapidated shearing shed. With walks to gravel pits and down the back paddock.

Weekend was rough. I've been sleeping horribly and I got some shitty news about family. Everything's fine, but I'm feeling rather blah today. The gym will fix that up, plus D&D tonight to cheer me up (woo slaughtering things).

I've been sleeping horribly too.  Guess who spent 4 hours in ms paint changing the color, pixel-by-pixel, of a monster the other day?

Is tonight the Cthulhu d&d?

Mmmm MS Paint color swapping...

Tonight is normal, 4th edition D&D, in which I play a Tiefling Warlock, we're playing Tomb of Horrors as a bit of a side quest from our normal campaign. We're level 22 though >.> My Warlock is more or less unkillable and I deal damage in the hundreds on crits... it's a little broken. But you have to be broken when you're fighting against the avatars of gods.

I am always commenting on how big of wusses kids are now a days.  LOL I feel so old when I say it.  Some of the things we did as kids.... I am shocked we didnt like blow up out house or something.  We always found ways to entertain ourselves instead of expecting things to entertain us.  I am always telling my kids they need to go outside more and do stuff!

Sounds fun!!  Tonight's one of the few nights when I will be home.  Going to watch Almost Human and groom the dog.  Exciting life!! ;-)

I hardly ever see kids out playing anymore.  And we have lots in the neighborhood.  Sad really.  Of course, both I and my younger brother nearly drowned in the pond behind our house back in the day, but ..... I didn't have a weight problem until a developer came in and 'dozed all the trees (and our clubhouse in the trees), the ponds, and our baseball/softball/kickball diamond.

Gotta play more!!
