Long story short: I am a regular rock climber, but my right wrist has been giving me trouble so I'm going to concentrate on weights for another 6 weeks. I am also thoroughly enjoying weight lifting, and I have enough time and gym access to do it now. My wedding is April 26th so I can't bulk too much or my dress won't fit. Ah, life. Let's lift some heavy stuff!!!

1. Get strong! [+4 STR]

On day exercise:

I will do the Women's Academy Barbell Batallion level 2 every other day.

I will increase my PR for 1RM for BP (100lb), OP (75lb), and SQ (160lb) by at least 5lb. I will work on form for DL 1RM (165lb).

Wrist-free regimen: I will go to the gym every other on day (squats, lunges, get ups, plank, side plank).

 

2. Get slim! [+3 CHA]

I will fit into my wedding dress a little more comfortably (or at least make sure I fit and don't bulk too much).

The last time I tried my dress on I measured in at 25.5" at the store right after I took it off. After food I measured 26.5".

I will aim to measure 25.25" before food - 26.25" after food by March 26. I will go try my dress on one more time around this time.

I will measure my waist every Sunday.

3. Get flexible, fast, and fit! [+1.5 CON, +1.5 DEX]

Off day exercise:

Wrist-free regimen: I will do cardio (hiking, walking, cycling, jogging, kettlebell, sprints) for 3-5 hours/week.

Wrist-free regimen: I will do sprints once weekly at least. every other on day.

Wrist-free regimen: I will do yoga or stretch every morning.

 

Life Side Quest: I want to finish catching up in my comics! [+3 WIS]

Naruto eh?  I swear it seems like every time I turn around I'm running into someone else into Naruto.  I'm half thinking of checking it out just to see what's up with it.

Naruto eh? I swear it seems like every time I turn around I'm running into someone else into Naruto. I'm half thinking of checking it out just to see what's up with it.

Still thinking about how exactly to do #2. At this moment I plan to eat the same meals minus wine, rice, and nuts. Thus, I will be eating less total calories. Is it a deficit? I don't know. I don't count calories. I only will count calories if I see no progress I guess. I hate counting calories. I may just decrease portion size globally if I'm really struggling. Ughh I hate this goal already! I want to be fit and healthy and let my body be whatever shape it wants to. It's only because I have this expensive, ridiculously closely fitting dress that I hate to fit into in 2 MONTHS that I am even trying to care. *rant rant rant*

Reading this challenge made me feel like eating a bag of donuts.

Maybe you could just get some really good Spanx? Just in case.

Yeah, I am going to demolish some wedding cake. For now I am under a lot of pressure to fit into this multi thousand dollar one time dress. I wish I had eloped. I just wanted to get married, not go freaking insane.

Naw, I'd have to take that off later ;) Keeping it simple.

Congrats on the wedding! I'm getting married on May 17th, and I completely understand what you're talking about when you say you wish you would have eloped.  It would take off so much stress.

I think your food goal seems good. Cutting out rice, wine, and nuts might just be enough to not have to count calories. It could be really cool if that works for you.

The track near my house is being remade so today I ran 15 min away from my house and back. Ended up running 3.2 miles. Wow! That was more exciting than going in circles, but also scary (I have to do it again to get home? *pant pant* I tricked myself.).

Did the 50/50 squat challenge! I think I had an easy time of it because of my relatively low body weight. Not that all my muscles weren't hurting at the end. They were. I just thought my first try would not succeed. (I should be more optomistic.)

My right wrist has developed a new pain. It feels like a reeeeally sore muscle. At least I hope it is. Tendon injuries suck. There go my plans to get back into hang board and rock climbing... It'll be a while. If this keeps up I might have to chill out on bench press and overhead press. I think I am extending my wrists a lot with the weight and straining one of my wrist muscles. I am in denial still. I hope I wake up feeling better tomorrow T-T

Aww that's bad news Sukiyo :( sorry to hear that. How's your wrist feeling now? Better, I hope?

Injuries do suck a lot. I hate how you start exercising and getting to love it, and then you injure yourself (that's my experience anyway!).

It feels the same I guess. It feels like it is really sore. It doesn't hurt per se. I was able to do bench presses yesterday. *sigh* I have had right wrist trouble for months now!! I am so tired of it.

Hopefully it is temporary and short term >_<
