Went to the gym this morning. Ran as part of the warm up then did sl5x5 week 1 day 1.

Had a banana and blueberries for breakfast. Ate green beans and mashed potato with a bit of leek for dinner.

I feel pretty good! I'll admit I didn't run so much today at the gym, but I did weights and used my core and everything. Very exciting.

 

I've eaten tonnes of good food today: breakfast smoothie (with kale! and a banana! and blueberries!), an apple, butternut squash curry, and finally a little lasagna with romaine lettuce salad. Om nom nom.

LOL!!!  I had a glass of wine.  Been managing to avoid the Easter chocolate by not shopping ... but the wine was in the cupboard, and it WAS the night before Lent started ...... 

 

Small slip ups are ok.  In fact, they are expected.  Eat more kale .... ;-)

That can be hard to do - it's in so many processed and canned foods.  But it will help in losing water weight and feeling better!!

How are you tracking the reduction?

 

I'm just not adding salt to food that I prepare and eat. I'm not tracking processed food - partly because I don't eat a huge amount of it, but mostly because I'm lazy.

 

FOOD CHECK for the last 3 days:

 

5 veg, 2 fruit - not good. Went to the gym on Monday. Ate a pint of ice cream last night, and had some cookies for breakfast. Completely off the bandwagon for two days, and I do feel physically worse for it. Trying to remember the good feelings in the face of a craving is HARD. Why isn't this treated like an addiction, because it really is!

Smoothies are awesome, aren't they? Sometimes I throw together what I have in the house - this inevitably is barely palatable - but when I follow a recipe from t'Interweb, ooo mama. Tomorrow's breakfast is a delightful orange, banana and coconut milk smoothie with a hint of honey and ginger. Om nom nom nom.

 

Food check: 4-5 veg, 2 fruit. W00! Trying to get back on track after major [ice cream] derailing. Also haven't been to the gym since Monday; it was picture day at school today and I hadn't washed my hair since then. Ew.
