Motivated! Unstoppable! Bring on the Empire! But then after plateauing with newbie gains, I became frustrated and impatient. I couldn't get my X-wing out of the swamp no matter how hard I tried. Now I am listening to Yoda. I will move forward with patience and continue to make gains with the slow but steady 5/3/1 program. What I will DO in 6 weeks:I will carry Yoda (Squat 165x5)I will lift rocks (Bench 110x5)I will raise R2D2 (OHP 77.5x5)I will move the X-wing (Deadlift 200x5)I will climb the vine (1 unassisted pullup) 1 Human WarriorNon nobis, Domine. The beginning of this 6 week challenge finds me in week 4 of my current 5/3/1 cycle, which means deload week. So this week's posts are going to be pretty boring. However, this happens to coincide well with my current touch of flu, which has knocked me on my gluts for the past 4 days. I'm pretty sure this is my punishment for remarking just a week ago "Wow, I haven't been sick at ALL this year." To which mother nature responded with, "Muhahaha..." Human WarriorNon nobis, Domine. So I did one pullup. Then I rested a minute and did a second pullup. Then I rested a minute and did a chin-up. Then I rested a minute and did a third pullup. I've been lackluster and irritable all week. My nutrition, which was previously on point, has deviated sharply off course. I have little to no patience for things that usually don't bother me. Several times today I have wanted to do this to my dog: Especially when he decided to bolt out the front door while I was mid deadlifts, at which point I had no other choice but to sprint after him around the block while he provoked as many other backyard canines as possible. It was like "the wave" only in woofs. If I'd had the option, he would have come home like this If anyone has a carbon-freezer I can borrow, please let me know. Human WarriorNon nobis, Domine.
