I'm totally doing this even though I'm stupid busy right now.  I'm also going on a cruise in the middle so my goals will change for a week.  Also my birthday is happening during this challenge so I totally get that day off (I'm going to be 39).

 

Main Quest:

Lose 56 pounds. Starting weight is 195 and goal weight is 139.  Also become Batgirl.  I also want to hike the Grand Canyon rim-to-rim.  This quest has no time limit.

 

Side Quest #1: Exercise like a maniac!!!

My goal is to work out 6 days per week with 3 days of cardio and 3 days of weights.  For cardio I'm going to be doing step aerobics videos and hiking (shooting for 3 hikes during the 6 weeks).  For weights I'm going to be lifting the heavy things with stronglifts 5x5 workouts.  I get a pass during the week of the cruise because I'm not sure what equipment I'll have access to on the cruise ship.  On the cruise I'd like to shoot for 10,000 steps logged on the fitbit per day if I can't do regular workouts.  I'll be grading myself for each week and taking the average at the end. (STR 2, STA 2)

    A. 6 workouts

    B. 5

    C. 4

    D. 2-3

Side Quest #2: Piano playing

I broke my finger back in November and regular piano practice is really helping me get my bendiness back.  I'd like to get a good 90 minutes of practice per week except for when I'm on the cruise when I won't have access to a piano.  I'll be grading myself each week and taking the average at the end. (DEX 3)

    A. 90 minutes

    B. 60

    C. 45

    D. 30

    F. <30

 

Side Quest #3: Diet

Veganness seems to really help me keep my eating under control so I'll continue with that.  I'm also going to log my food on myfitnesspal daily.  I'm thinking instead of shooting for a specific calorie number every day I'm going to shoot for a daily average every week.  1800 calories per day was a pretty easy target to stick to but I'm going to bump it down a little and see if I loose faster.  I'm going to shoot 1600 calories per day average.  My third food goal is to not eat french fries.  If I go on a long hike (5 miles or better), I can have some as a treat.  Last goal is to drink at least 64 oz of water per day (not counting what I drink during my workout).  I get a pass on all of this during the week of my vacation.  There's no way I'm logging food or sticking to a calorie limit or trying to stay vegan while I'm on vacation.  I'll be grading myself each week and taking the average at the end. (CON 3, WIS 2)

    A. All 4 goals met

    B. 3

    C. 2

Life Quest: Sewing

Because I'm losing a whole week, my only sewing goal is to finish my husband's Booster Gold costume.  I'd also like to start on my New 52 Spoiler costume (so cool) but I don't think I'll have time.  I'll make this one pass or fail. (CHA 2, DEX 1)

 

Motivation: I want to be fit and healthy and be a good example for my family.  I want to be in better shape on my 40th birthday than I was on my 20th birthday.  Also I want to rock my Batgirl costume at San Diego Comic Con this year (already have my tickets).

I too take an average of week. I look at daily to make sure it's not totally out of whack, and make sure I eat enough protein every day.

Week one's going pretty well.  I don't have time to do a full update everyday.  The sewing is actually going really fast so I'll probably finish two things this 6 weeks.  The jacket is done, I'm working on the pants and I have a plan for the cowl thingy.  Hiking probably won't happen this weekend because of the 80% chance of rain.
