Here are some questions to put your goals to the test:

Is your overall quest achievable (over a short or long period of time)?  Is it reasonable? Yes, I believe it is.

Do your 3 main goals all build towards it in little ways, or are you taking on too much? I am taking things slower this time, so I think I won't get overwhelmed.

Are your main goals realistic? Can you scale them to smaller steps to fit your life better, even if it will make it take a little longer to achieve them? They are realistic, and I am taking baby steps.

Are your goals able to be measured and tracked?  What will you use to track them? Yes, see tracking above!

How are you grading your goals?  Are they pass/fail (“every dayâ€, “not even once over the six weeksâ€)?  Is there a reward for the effort, or are you only grading yourself on whether or not you “lose the weight†or “run the distanceâ€? Again, see tracking above. I think I am giving myself enough leeway in case something were to happen so I would have to cut back. I have a pretty good rewards system in place.

What is your plan for continuing/altering/grading those goals if you become ill or injured? I'm already injured, so these goals reflect that.

Did you take into consideration any special occasions (Passover, Easter, Cinco de Mayo, birthdays, anniversaries, etc) that may occur during the challenge?  What modifications do you need to build into your goals for those? I won't need to modify anything.

Do any of your main goals conflict with each other? Will one goal make it hard to do another? No.

Do you already have the time in your schedule to actually complete the goals you’ve set?  If not, what are you planning to do to make time for them? I will make time for walking, and will invite my son along. I will be walking 3 evenings a week. If schedules get messy, I have the weekends to fall back on.

Are you trying to build multiple habits, or is all your energy focused on your main quest? The main quest is definitely the main goal here, but I need to build habits that will keep me going towards that goal, and when I hit that goal, those habits will be in place so I can stay there.

Let's do this!

Gratz on the work so far.

I love that you have all the healthy rewards.  I do that too.  Just got new running shoes and outfit (even underwear!) as a reward for the first challenge, and motivation for this one!

Good luck.

Lookin good Scout, can't wait to see how the challenge turns out for you this time. Diabetes can totally suck (Type 2 right here), I haven't yet gotten up the guts to actually prick my finger with the thing yet though, I'm gutless when it comes to causing myself pain. 80P. Good Luck!

Great goals, very realistic and attainable.  You just need to get back into the good habits again!

I've been spring cleaning and it feels so good to get it done! I moved into my place less than a year ago, so I'm hoping that if I actually do a decent spring cleaning annually I can stay on top of things.  Purging and wiping!  i actually love decuttering and purging.  I feel like if I have to move again I should be pretty good to go. lol  I try to stay in a state of "would moving again suck?"  I've moved 3 times in the past 2 years, and I'm finally in a place where I can stay for a while, so I'm hoping to avoid accumulating the "crap" the goes along with settling in.  :)

Best of luck!

Thanks guys!! :) As for Spring cleaning and moving... I moved 31 times by the time I was 18... I got pretty used to it. Our next move shouldn't be until we buy our RV and start traveling... So by then I HAVE to downsize considerably!!

Had a busy weekend with the Rockabilly Prom on Friday night, then a motorcycle ride on Saturday since it was in the high 70's here (today it is 30 and snowing... I hate Missouri!!), and a photo session premiere (ordering session for 2 seniors we photographed last weekend) last night. I'm beat!!

Blood sugar: upon waking - 97, after breakfast - 108

Probably won't walk today, since it is 30 degrees out... did I mention it was in the high 70's on Saturday!?? I'm pissed at the weather!

I am so over winter!!!!

That is so crazy that it has gotten so cold again! Be thinking of alternative places to walk if the weather stays uncooperative.

I do need to have a back up plan in place! I do know that it is supposed to warm back up by the weekend and we are taking X to Worlds of Fun(it's an amusement park in Kansas City) so that will definitely be one of my walking days! :) X has decided he will walk with me 3x a week, and we are going to be using the app The Walk, which I guess is similar to Zombies Run!

Hopefully, the weather stabilizes into some warm weather for you.  I haven't lived in Missouri for a long time.  (Moved to California when I was 10)  Some things I do miss still.  I don't think I would be able to do the winters there anymore.

I hate it here lol We plan to move to San Diego when X graduates in 5 years! I can definitely deal with sunny and 70! :)

Well guys... I am already having to change something... I hadn't weighed myself in a while, and I finally did, and I am up 10 lbs. I am going to attribute this to eating too much sugar and part of it to the prednisone pack I had to take. I will change my goals to reflect this. I am ok with this... I mean I am pissed at myself, but I know I can get the weight loss going back in the right direction!!

Funny thing is, I am still fitting into my jeans and pants just fine... some of them are even looser... who knows... (And I don't think it is muscle because I have been doing nothing to build muscle lately! LOL)

Looks good so far! What's the motivation behind weighing daily? I know for me I get too focused on that and it negatively affects me.

Have a magical Tuesday!

It's actually good for me to weigh in daily. I don't worry if my weight is up a little here and there, but I find if I don't weigh in daily I tend to let my weight creep up and then all of a sudden I am 10 lbs heavier lol I also just like to see what changes happen based on what I have eaten that week and such.
