Sunmage encounters Reality

Recommended Posts

Hey,

during my last challenge I became vegetarian. Since dairy makes me sick, I'm not far away from being vegan...

Actually I noticed that there is light and love in EVERYTHING.
Even so called Dragons, Demons and other "bad" things. My next step will be to see this love everywhere.

Actually seeing things as they really are is meditation.

So I will meditate. A lot.

I will stop not wanting things that happen anyway. I will develop my intuitive healing powers. I will listen to intuition far more often.

In Order to become free of everything I have to take care of mind, body and soul. Here we go:

  1. Meditation:
    • My mind needs some relaxation. In order to do that I will do vipassana meditation again
      1. 10 Minutes every morning and night while lying in bed
      2. 30 minutes every day kneeling. Plus 1 minute a day.
      3. Total 60 Minutes a day.
  2. Food:
    • Keep vegetarian diet unless there are signs of malnourishment
    • Just 10 meals a week containing grains except rice.
    • 1 Junk meal a week(fries or vegetarian kebap with fries)
    • No pizza. Made me to sick last time
    • Travel rule: Since I travel the whole challenge: If I would get an B for the part of the week Im in 100km around home I can get an D for the week even If I ate to much wheat)
      • A: 6 servings with wheat
      • B: 7 servings
      • C: 8
      • D: 10
  3. Body:
    • Bodyweight workouts.
    • 3 times a week using the You Are Your Own Gym app.
    • Flexibility stuff and foam rolling
  4. Soul:
    • Do Sunyoga after work whenever the sun shines
    • Do Agnihotra when possible
    • Do spontaneous Qi Gong to kick my blockades out
  5. Life: Get this done:
    1. My last 2 oral exams on Thursday
    2. My 40 pages literary thesis(uargggs)
    3. first half of my master thesis
    4. Figure out why I do not find a flat
    5. Get the hard month done without sucking at work
    6. I am sure I will find more

Well this is already pretty much. Probably I have to cut something...

My hard month May will be:

3 days Vipassana meditation retreat on a longweekend

4 day Qi, energy and healing workshop the next weekend(there is a holiday..)

3 day workshop with friends the next weekend

Career Event where I look for a job after graduation in Fall the next weekend

A Weeding on the last Challenge weekend.

So the next 6 weeks have just 4 workdays. The two easter weeks just 3 days... My boss signed my holidays but dind't notice that ;)

Let's see where this leads, right?

What a list! I'm looking forward to cheering you on. :)

I'm considering going completely vegetarian myself (and lactose intolerant), so you're for sure an inspiration. :D

Thanks Guys!

I just gave my first workshop, that earned money. The ones before just paid the rent, but today I earned 60€.

Yehaaaa!

I feel great, but I'm about to get sick since a week now... I want to know what will happen, but I can't... =) Waiting sucks...

Have a good start!

Whew! Lots going on with you this challenge! But we've seen how you whittle your dragons down to size and then make friends with them, so this should be no problem.

Congratulations on the lecture!

I miss being vegetarian but I somehow can't get myself to go back to it.. I need to put more thought into it.

Nice to see such a dedicated guild leader!! You can do it!

Thank you!

I tried being vegetarian before, but it was a fight.

Now it just came naturally. Meat somehow disgusts me...

Someone brought selfmade apple pie to work. So I was at 1 serving of wheat before the first 12 hours were over...

=)

Made paleo blueberry muffins for breakfast tomorrow. They are great.

Now I have to do laundry, meditate and leran before hanging out here again.

We'll see how that goes ;)

Hi, friend!  It looks like you have a full challenge ahead of you, but I have no doubt you will dominate.

I struggle with my diet every now and again, too.  The junk and wheat makes me feel awful, but it is such a comfort to me for some reason.  I'll be using you as motivation to keep away from it.

Good luck!

Oh I know that food feeling =)

I had the oral exam. Failed it very very badly.

Actually a big part of me was very very happy someone noticed that I have no idea of engineering.

A thing that I was always afraid of, because I felt so.

Let's just call this part demon and deal with it, right?

Actually I really don't know much about engineering because my heart wants to do something very else...

Food went well, but I missed meditation time yesterday. Driving 600 km is time sucking..

A blessing in disguise, for certain! What is it that your heart really wants to do? As I'm still a sapling here please forgive me if everybody already knows what it is :redface-new:

I studied engineering and worked as EMT.

My hearts beats for Coaching.

I want to be a good Coach. I want to make peple able to help(free) themselves.

But I prefer helping those that want to go 100% and not just a little bit time by time.

I love solving health, happiness, lifestyle and psychological problems. I also like to train people to find other ways than struggling and fighting ;)

And I like to teach useful stuff like Sunyoga to people.

And I have no Idea how to make this happen yet.

But I believe it will happen on its own, since it is my deepest wish. i just have to let everything else go...

Well time for a week 1 report, right?

  1. Meditation:

Did miss the 60 minutes on some days. But I made 10 minutes every morning and night!

    C

This leaves me with the problem that I am still quite inflexible around the ankles and have 3 days of kneeling ahead...

  2. Food:

Vegetarian. I bulged on wheat when I was away. I had to do that after the exam... I know why and I knew it wouldn't be good. But I was to exhaustet to resist. It was worth it.(As long as I don't see my face in a mirror =) )

Since I was clean before I left, it is still a D.

  3. Body:

Just managed 1 workout. Since I do not want to force a change at any price this is still a D.

  4. Soul: Not much time, but worth an A.

I did agnihotra once and read 2 novels. First time in about a year that I spend a whole day just reading. My eyes hurt afterwards, but very very good for me =)

  5. Life

Well I failed the exam and have to repeat it. Nothing else.

I was so deprived, I couldn't work on the thesis over the holidays...

This week will end on Thursday with me driving to a vipassana retreat. So there is room for 2 Workouts. And some exam preparation.

Actually I just made awesome dinner and food for tomorrow

Potatoes, tomatoes, aubergine and zucchini coated in olive oil with rosmarine, thymian, basil and lots of garlic. I just put it in the oven. Will be my meals tomorrow.

All meals... =)

Uhmmm

there is a lot going on and it isn't easy.

I just want to quit everything.

But I won't!

Week 2

  1. Meditation:
    There was a meditation retreat
    A
This leaves me with the problem that I am still quite inflexible around the ankles
  2. Food:
    B
  3. Body:
  4. Soul:
    A
  5. Life

Week 3:

  1. Meditation:
    Just a C
  2. Food:
    D because I was away
  3. Body:
    B
  4. Soul:
    A

I will repeat the exam next week.

But I failed the last written one. This is bad. Very bad.

So far I'm still alive. I will find my inner harmony again and we'll see.

Thanks to Eve and Littleturtle for doing all the modwork!

=)

Hey,

I'm still alive. Working too much and meditating too short to work with good quality.

I passed the oral exam that I failed before! Just a B but still better than nothing.

So I have to deliver a 40 page thesis and write 1 last hard exam before I can officially start my master thesis that should be halfway done by then.

Procrastinating sucks, right.

The rest of the time is busy getting a new flat and a new car to reduce the dependency to my parents...

And get an own stand in life.

How are you doing?

Hey,

the challenge is already over and I didn't report the second half at all.

There is much going on in my live and things are changing.

The master I learned most from in the last 2 years is changing to a guru. I don't like it at all and I somehow can't use his tips anymore.

So I'm on my own now. But I found a book recommendation he gave me 2 years ago that is really great.

"Spalding: Life and teaching of the masters of the far east"

http://www.horuscentre.org/images/Life_and_Teaching-Vol_1.pdf

Very interesting.

End of challenge report:

  1. Meditation:
    Just a C
I did not meditate often enough.
  2. Food:
D because I was away so much and used my special rule. It really helped me eating less gluten.
  3. Body:
    F. I just didn't workout...
  4. Soul:

Life: The exam is done. Just one to go in July, the small thesis and the master thesis.

And i found a new flat. I hope I get it, but there are alternatives =)

Overall grade: c-

See you around next time!
