RedPandaOne
Eek! I start my second job next week! Now I just need to figure out parking. Do I find a garage/paid lot, learn how to parallel park, or just take public transit. Gotta keep in mind I'll be lugging about 30 pounds worth of equipment. Might buy a rolling cart thing. 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself. You must write your destiny..." RedPandaOne
Trivia jockey at bars/restaurants. I will need to bring my own speakers, mic, and computer. I've helped my friend carry her speakers, and those suckers are heavy. Individually they are fine, but they combine into one easy to carry case thing, and the weight adds up. As long as I remember to switch arms, I should get a good upper body workout! I heard a rumor that they were going wireless, so being a new TJ I might get a different set up. We shall see. I should hopefully be getting them by the end of the week. Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself. Jord
It's more awkward to carry it than you would think. At least that is my opinion. Before I switched gyms I had bought two 10# bumper plates and would take them to the gym with me in a jumbo backpack slung over one shoulder. In your head 20# is light, "oh yeah I lift 20# all the time". But slung over your back turns into a different story. I'm so glad I don't have to deal with this anymore! RedPandaOne
Yea, the thing is bulky as all hell. I think I saw some carts in Target last time I was there. Once they arrive at my place, I'll take a look at the setup and see if mine will be just as bulky. I also figure I can write the cart off on my taxes next year since it was bought for work! I also should get a printer so I don't have to rely on the one at the office, another write off! (I say this, but will most likely forget or chicken out fearing an audit) 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself. RedPandaOne
Did some recon on my new gig. And oh man is it going to be super easy. I thought with it already being established and near Harvard it would be packed. Nope. There were only 3 teams playing, and they weren't regulars. So, let me amend this. It's going to be easy in I won't be overwhelmed with teams from the beginning. But it's going to be hard work trying to establish some regulars and always having to get people to play. But, I think I can do it. If I can get some friends to be somewhat regulars, I think it will help get others to start playing. So, (I really need to stop using that as a starter word) needles to say, what I had planned to eat today did not pan out. Here it all is. And I will admit, I had 2 chais. I could not stop yawning this afternoon and was falling asleep in meetings. And I didn't have much of an option for dinner. It's a burger bar. So either a burger or fried chicken sandwich. RedPandaOne
My pants feel weird. And I can't tell if it's because they are getting loose, or they are getting tight and are in that weird "not actually tight" phase. If I tug at the waist band I can get it at least half an inch to and inch away from my body. But to tell you the truth, I have no idea if they were like that when I bought them or not. My sweaters are riding up and acting like they are too small, though. Granted, I do put them through the dryer so I could be shrinking them... I shall pay more attention to these things going forward. 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. It's a journey you'll have to take by looking inside yourself. Jord
Do you do body measurements with a tape measure? Quote Jǫrð, Delvian Nomad - Level 12 { Battle Log } Link to comment
RedPandaOne
I do! I'm scheduled to measure myself in about 2 weeks. Looking back at my logs, my hip measurements haven't changed in the last 3 months. My waist went up half an inch. And as much as I try, I'm not sure I'm measuring the same areas each month, so I'm not entirely sure how accurate that is. Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. Jord
yeah, i'm just doing measurements every 2-3 months because it stays mostly the same. I figure I am looking at overrall trends, not month to month data. it's hard to measure exactly the same. and you can be food bloated. 1 Quote Jǫrð, Delvian Nomad - Level 12 { Battle Log } Link to comment
RedPandaOne
My food from yesterday. Only thing not tracked is that damn cookie. It's oatmeal cranberry, I thought it was an oatmeal raisin, but once I picked it up i realized it, and since I had already touched it, I couldn't put it back. I pretty much only ate it because I felt bad tossing perfectly good food. A note on dinner. I only ate half the mozzarella sticks and salad. The rest is in my fridge for tonight. And not pictured is my coke, I don't think I got it in any of the pictures. Sent from my SM-G930T using Tapatalk 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. Jord
This makes me sad that I forgot to buy string cheese at the grocery store yesterday. It really is okay to throw away a cookie. RedPandaOne
Food for today! The handful of m&ms was just that, a handful. Coworker was passing them out. And the cupcake was the last of my impulse buy of half a dozen (2 went to my parents). Tomorrow and Saturday are going to be difficult. Going to be on the road most of tomorrow, wedding in the late afternoon. Then Saturday a family brunch at a restaurant and then back on the road. RedPandaOne
Guys, how come everything I want to buy is super expensive? I still want that damn shield. And I saw my brothers wireless noise cancelling headphones, and now I want to replace mine with a wireless pair. In research, I see you can also get custom colors, but it's like $450! I don't want much, but damn, what I want is expensive. speaking of expensive, booked my room for Boston comic con this morning. Now i I just have to remember to grab my roller derby gear when i'm at my parents so I can sell it and get some more money to afford all this stuff. I'm still hesitant on selling, but I haven't used any of that in over a year, so I think it's safe to say I can go ahead a sell it. 1 Quote "You won't find your answers by looking to the stars. RedPandaOne
I love the internet. Been trying to figure out parking for my job tonight. Guy at the restaurant said just do street parking. Not helpful when street parking is super hard to find and I don't know how to parallel park (dad is teaching me soon. Only 14 years after I got my license!). So, I started looking up parking garages. Found one, but it would have been $30, I'm most likely only going to get paid $55 for tonight. That's half my paycheck! HOWEVER, I just found a website where I can reserve a space in said garage, and it would have been $15. But I also found a promo code, and I only paid $5!!!!! RedPandaOne
So, I once again forgot to take pictures of half of my food yesterday. The string cheese is an old picture, but I had some. And the cereal may be too, but I can't remember at this point! I completely forgot about dinner until about an hour after I finished and had left the restaurant. But because it was cheesecake factory, I found some photos online! Yes, that is just a cheese sandwich for lunch. I ran out of deli meat. And that drink is an attempt at a mocha. Will not attempt again. Not pictured - rum and coke from concert. It was 2 shots of rum with about 1oz of coke. Kid you not. It was this tiny little fancy glass which she filled 2/3 of the way with rum (there was ice) and just a little bit of coke at the top.
