starpuck
Wooooo. Got 8 hours of sleep last night even after staying out on the rink patio eating pizza and having beer with the other teams in the co-ed league. It was so awesome last night. A ton of fun playing with and against my friends. Then just hanging out afterwards to socialize. Love this kind of hockey. The other team/league I am on is definitely the competitive one (not jerkishly so at all) but this is just go out and have a good time, then chill. The jerseys came with the league, and went from like 1-20 only. So I opted for 11, which was Malkin's number before he joined the NHL. Turns out the jersey color we have is red with white and blue, so it was totally like Malkin's old stuff. Yes, I am a total dork. It's ok. The only downside to last night's game was that I reached up to snag a puck out of the air. I did it! And even the other team was like oh great keep in, great keep in. But, left hand. Puck. That's the hand with the messed up finger thing. OW! It's gone back to normal level of pain today, so that's gotta be some kind of good sign, right? Hahaha. I'd really liked to get a walk in today because I have this little mini challenge for myself, to get 7 days in a row of 10K steps or better. I'm at two. Weather is nice, right now. But won't be forever today, and then tomorrow ... rain/snow. (CRY!!) ((But I am planning to hit the weights at work, so ok.)) I still have to put up my specific goals. I wasn't expecting to stay at hockey 4 hours after the game ended last night, so woops. Will work on that here in a second. Maybe I will go take a walk first. Er, after I switch my laundry from wash to dryer. Yes! This is my plan. Wufkar - I only ride as passenger. My bro in law had one my whole life, so I started riding bitch at about 8. Obax - Yaaaaaay summer hockey! Is it still 5on5 or a 3on3 format? I'm pretty excited about having consistent ice for this 'off season'. ShadowLion
Yay, SP's back! Send the clone to Phoenix for the winters. That would shape her right up. Sunshine all the time, December days in the 60's and maybe 3 or 4 nights a year that we get a hard frost. We get all excited when it clouds up and there's "5 inch rain." (That's when the rain drop marks on the sidewalk are about five inches apart.) When it actually gets the road uniformly wet, the news channels show pictures of raindrops taken through a windshield and puddles in parking lots. I am serious. They do that here. Ms. Clone might want to go back to Chicago in another month or so, though. Even if it is a dry heat... Welcome back to the land of the living. SAD is no joke. All men dream, but not equally. Sandylion
So educational! I had no idea what a turkish get up is. I confidently believe I could do a couple of those without the kettlebell! They look hard. Also... where do you buy pre-boiled eggs?? I'm not sure I've ever seen that at a store before. Well, maybe a salad bar... You yankees have all kinds of crazy innovations. starpuck
Hahah Yeah, we set a new record or two today!- Highest temp to be followed by snow within 24 hours. (Was 80, then snowed.)- And highest single day temp to occur on a day that also netted 1/2" snow or better. 63 was the high this morning at 12:05am.. We have 2" out there now and it's 25. LAME. Hahaha. Gonna run tomorrow at indoor track because.1) I need to start actually running again. (2 mile walk on Friday and Sunday, to 'get back into it')2) I've managed to eek out 4 days in a row of meeting the 10k steps goal with my Fitbit. I feel like I can pull off this 7 day thing! ShadowLion
Bizarro weather. I'd rather do burpees than Turkish getups... All men dream, but not equally. Those who dream by night in the dusty recesses of their minds, wake in the day to find that it was vanity: but the dreamers of the day are dangerous men, for they may act on their dreams with open eyes, to make them possible. ~T. joedog
I like TGUs but I'm kinda weird like that. This weather blows. I've tried so hard not to complain about the weather but this is just ridiculous. It's time to start talking about float trips not snow. joedog, level 15 Monk Current Challenge Link to comment

starpuck
So yup! Sore today a bit. Not brutal sore. So that's good. Tummy is not happy. First day back on healthy foods sometimes does that though. Uuuuuggggghhhhh. Breakfast and lunch in. Still telling myself I'll get my steps in at lunch despite the soreness. Thinking about not worrying about tracking the laps and just running until I need some wind, then walking, then repeating. Wish it weren't 29 degrees out, because the sun is out and the sky is sooooo blue and pretty. Being in the sun would be way better than being on the indoor track - oh well. Dinner is out. So it will be one of my 4x or less of restaurant foods. BUT, it will also be my 1 new thing per week too, as I get to meet Alienjenn!!! We're going to DMK Burger - because they get beef from 100% grass-fed cows. MOO. And then they gourmet it up, like, my favorite is their bison burger, with fresh goat cheese, pickled red onions, blueberry bbq sauce. BLUEBERRY BBQ SAUCE!!!! Mmmm. But today I might try the NY Pastrami, French Gruyere, Sauerkraut, with Leroy’s Remoulade burger. Choices choices. Also going to face the music, pull money out of savings, and pay off EVERYTHING I owe money on right now. Then I will tell myself that ALL of my year end bonus (in June) goes back to savings. I just want to feel caught up and settled on finances. That's the plan! 2 Level 83 ~*~ Ranger Deviant Art Gallery || YouTube Channel Current Challenge "It is difficult. All things worth keeping are."
