Word count: 715/10,000

I'm off to a nice, slow start. The cake is home- baked, so that's better than a store bought.

Gracious things

1. I made sense of my first study data. I can explain them to a professor now.

2. My roommates cooked dinner for me, so I could eat right after I got off work at 8.30 pm

3. I am offered to help in another study of a very famous person in my field.

Things to look out for

1. Less dessert

2. More statistics study

3. More exercise

Gracious things

1. I am invited to participate in a conference in Chapel Hill, NC next month. Guess they need a minion for some evil stuffs. All expense are paid for!

2. I had a delicious lunch. The salt in the leftover beef brings out the juice in the lettuce, filling the tub with sweet and savory broth.

3. I leveled up on my chest workout today.

Things to look out for

1. Be focused! I fell asleep at work for a bit

2. Start running soon.

3. The homework is building up a bit. I need to be on track with my time.

Excellent start.

Thanks Teirin.

Day 3 was done and done

Breakfast

- crossant

- banana

Lunch

- Cabbage, collard greens, and bacon

- smoothie of apple, raspberry, peanut butter, and soymilk

Dinner

- I had a meeting that ran late in the night, so I ate whatever the dinner they served

Pizza and poptart

- It's a bad choice of meal, but I'll get over it.

Workout

- Bike home and back, it's a rest day

Word count: 1284/10000

It's not my best day, but I must learn to forgive myself once in a while.

Gracious things

1. I cheated a bit on my homework (using techniques that got work done but won't allow me to learn deeper in the topic.) A friend of mind said he wouldn't do his that way because "it wasn't the right thing." That made me redo my homework and had it done in time. I guess honesty to the villainy sciences are important.

2. I made some new friends during a meeting

3. My coworker emailed me back right away! It's amazing.

4. I found out that there are villainy comrades in this forum, like 18ck, SV, and Teirin..

Things to look out for

1. Stress level. Take a deep breath sometimes.

2. Smile more.

3. Say no once in a while.

I will keep going!

Relaxing day, but not productive

Gracious things

1. I have officially ran the fastest mile in my life. 7.06 does not sound fast, but it's a very significant step, and I am very happy.

2. A 3-hour class canceled today. So I played some Skyrim and went for a bike ride. It was really relaxing.

3. I went to a very nice lecture about scent in historic Islamic garden. It was a very magical talk and I enjoyed it a lot.

Things to look out for.

1. Someone stole my bike helmet (ouch.) Gotta be careful next time.

2. Should not have wasted so much time on Skyrim

3. Bring spare socks to the gym.

Work on it!!

Link to comment

You eat the most interesting things.  Congrats on the fastest mile!

Thanks Teirin. I had a Thai roommate, a Taiwanese roommate, and an American roommate. They are all fascinated by food and cooking, so we get diversity in our kitchen. :).

Keep it up Minion! and for the spare clothes at the Gym, when I go, I wash there (i go before work, no time to go back home...) and forgot a towel once, hate forgetting something lol!

Forgetting towel means losing money for me ($1 rent). So that motivates me to always bring one. I don't have a permanent locker. I might be a wise investment.

I have a tiny minion rule that for one day that I am late, I will post a pic. It can be an inspiring pic, awesome pic, or just my pic. I am late today, so here it goes. That's my before pic with a cake belly. I usually hold my stomach in so nobody notices it... Just hope it would be gone for good.

2. My data management was going well

3. The weather was nice

Things to look out for.

Nice, Cosmixkey! Canada is a place I plan to visit some time in the future. GSP is a lean mean fighter, so I aspire for that.

And I'll keep going. You do the same!

You're making me miss having international roommates!! Food is such a great way to share culture :) And getting to draw Thai art on people sounds like a blast!

Sounds like you're doing great! Are you planning on posting more progress photos as you go? I've been tempted to start taking some so that I have a record, but don't know if I have the guts to post them in the forums.

Thanks, Buck, I still eat a lot of carb though. That's gotta go down a bit.

I plan to post more photos. Maybe at week 3 and week 6. Although I would censor my face. When I was late teen, I posted my diet pic like this on a website. I was successful of losing a few pound then, but a few months later, a friend of mine called me to tell that my pic appeared on a men-men dating site!! I checked it out, and it was just a local site for a gay community. They were using my pic as an inspiration to lose (small amount of) weight. So we got a good laugh back then. There were nothing defaming or embarrassing. However, I learned to blur my face if it's me doing a selfie with my shirt off. Just in case.  :)

Now day 8 is over.

Breakfast

- Bananas

- leftover carrot cake (sorry, it was on the table...)

Lunch

- Leftover ham

- steamed rainbow chard

- Brown rice

Dinner

- Brown rice

- More ham (We bought the entire leg and baked it in one night)

- Tomato onion soup

- banana

Workout- Bike to work and back: 3mi

Word count 2381/10000

Gracious things

1. My data analysis is progressing well

2. Delicious dinner

3. Productive day!

Things to look out for

1. Don't always sit

2. Write more creative things

3. Smile. Now.

And I keep going.

You could try replacing your carbs with Veggies or nuts and seeds? I feel like eating sunflower seeds (shell-less, hate having to eat one seed at a time) is so damn good, and fills me up with a lot less of the carbs part (yes theres carbs, but fiber, so it's good i guess :P)

and I laughed at the : "- leftover carrot cake (sorry, it was on the table...)", I'd do the same!
