But on a personal level I am going to work on this, very slowly. I am also challenging myself to run in the afternoons as I prefer to run in the mornings (but I’m usually too tired to run!). So my goal is to run with the group on the following dates:April 19 April 26 May 3 May 10 May 17 May 24Stats: +1 STA, +1 CHA, +1 DEX Goal #2) Axe Lifting (5 pounds) and Push UpsSo in my past challenges I have tried to do pushups. Real push-ups. Last week my trainer asked me to do a simple triceps’ exercise. I could not for the life of me. Turns out my triceps are too tight. It hurts a lot to even stretch them. So I’ll be working on those now. According to myfitnesspal.com my carb intake should be 220g but I will be lowering it slightly to 200g. And then my protein intake is 91g but I will be raising it to 100g. My calorie intake will stay the same (1800 calories). But who says you have to take a picture of your face all the time? Go to the beach and take a picture of your feet in the sand or get your boyfriend to do some "artistic" shots of you Make it something fun! Also, try and curb that negative judgement about yourself after you've taken a photo, instead try looking at the photo and pick something you're pleased with You're beautiful, but sometimes we have a hard time seeing this in ourselves. And ugh triceps When we do tris in my weight lifting class the instructors encouragement level goes from a 5 to a 10 because it is such a difficult muscle to work out! Good goals all in all Sounds like this challenge could be a lot of fun for you!! Wirilome Posted April 20, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 20, 2014 Day Five: Saturday Goal #1 - I walked 2k which is 1.2 miles not the 5k (3 miles) of running that I was going for. Yes I did join a group. Yes I did go to the park where we were meeting up. Yes I looked for them. No, I did not find them so I panicked. I didn't know the area and the further into the park I went the more I panicked. Was this some sort of sick joke? Was I supposed to get lost and kidnapped, raped, murdered? All that went through my head so after 20 miles of walking in circles, I went home. First I sat in my car trying not to throw up and cry. Then I sped away on my one hour trip back home. Goal #2 - MET!!! I even got a heavier weight. I was able to find a 15lb dumbbell in my dad's fitness area. I figured since it's gathering dust, he won't mind that I take it. Goal #3 - My first cheat. I was 12 calories over in my whole meal BUT I was 11g of crabs over BUT I met my protein intake by 24g. Goal #4 - Did not take a photo. I noticed that I was avoiding the camera because of my bushy eyebrows. So I went and got my eyebrows done which hurt like hell. And I picked out a nice outfit for Easter. I know the feeling though and it's not cool Good on the walking though, running isn't all that much more beneficial than walking so you did good for your body!! Wirilome Posted April 22, 2014 Author Report Share Posted April 22, 2014 Day 6: Sunday Goal #1) Finished... I ended up running so I can finish my 5k. I ran 2.25 miles (and yes I did run them on the treadmill). I was running a 13.25 mile so I said fuck it. Let me challenge myself. I'm running as fast as I can at an 11 minute mile for one minute but then slow down to a 12 minute mile for two minutes and then I have to jog again for 2 minutes to catch my breathe at the 13 minute mile. And repeated until I collapsed at 2.25 miles. I'm trying really hard to lower my time. Goal #2) After I ran, I gave myself a 30 minute break and started on my push ups. Woot woot. Goal #3) 1,880 calories (70 calories over) BUT... 178g of carbs and 71g of protein. Hmm this is kind of hard. I could also run Monday. But I am working out my schedule. Lots of walking to be had. Very hopeful with this walkapp. Goal #2 accomplish! Did my tricep exercises. Today I have pushups. Goal #3 1860 cals. (50 over) I am having a hard time with my calories. This whole week I have been "starving" and in need of junk food. I ate an entire bag (3 ounces) of potato chips!! Then ice cream. I don't know what's up. Suggestions? My carb intake was 176g and my protein was 100g. Goal #4 I took photos. Deleted every single one of them. Began reading section 2. You'll definitely walk lots at Disneyland If you're getting enough calories per day but feeling starved there's a couple possibilities, the first is that it's brain hunger and not actual hunger so you need to define which first. If it's actual hunger check out the lifting revolutions podcast on this, she's got some great tips! If it's brain hunger there's a plethora of options here, you could be thirsty, tired, stressed, needing a break from whatever it is you're doing or just feeling a social pressure to eat. This can be challenging to identify but once you've identified why you feel hungry if you know you're not actually hungry it's easier to fix whatever is causing the problem I hope this helps, let us know how it goes!!
