LostOne1775 Getting Ready for the Marines Part 3

Hey guys! Ready to do my....wow, ninth challenge.

Goal #1: Commit to a strict Paleo diet. I've done this before with success, but now that I'm training even harder, I'm curious about the results I'll get when I stick to it all. The only splurge will be on my birthday.

A: 100%

B: 95%

F: Anything lower

Goal #2: Train 5x a week. I get bored easily, which means I get lazy and don't want to train the next day. So I need to keep up the habit. 5x may seem extreme but I'll have 2 days off to rest, and I'll allow more if I need it.

A: 5/5

B: 4/5

F: 3/5

Goal #3: Finish pre Algebra and Arithmatics on Khan Academy. Some of you already know I hate math, and suck at it. But I don't want to be a Combat Engineer who can't do the math right then and there.

A: Finish Pre-Algebra and Arithmetic

B: Just a few Master Classes away

F: No change

Goal #4: Find a job. No luck so far, but I need to keep trying. I'm hoping to get a job at a vet's office, PetsMart, Gamestop, or a feed store. But I'm trying anyone that's hiring right now.

A: Get an interview

B: Send out a lot of applications

F: Nothing

Life Goal: Get down to a size 12. My size 14 are loose now! I'm hoping to get down to a 12, or maybe a 10 but that most likely is wishful thinking.

 

Side Goals: Draw more

Lose my butt gut

Keep practicing patience

Yoga

Write in journal everyday

Let my walls down once in a while with the guy

Wanted to pimp this up but for some reason it's not letting me paste photos or even change font size. I thought it was my computer, but I'm using my grandmother's. I'm gonna ask someone what's up.

You rock LostOne!  Looking forward to seeing you crush this.  I think 5 workouts a is totally doable/acceptable - I often do it.  Plus once you're in the marines it's not like they're gonna be like oh! wait we already made them run/workout 5 times this week, we can't make them do it again. Go be your badass you!

Your challenge plans look great!

 

I'm hoping you to get a job at a vet's. I did that when I was about your age and I really liked it. You'd feel more in touch with your roots now that you're stuck in the 'burbs and it's interesting to be around, even if you're just "kennel help" like I was. A feed store would be fun, though, and build some muscle, too!

otter905-That's what I was thinking when I chose 5x a week. Plus I don't like being in the house with my grandmother, she isn't helping as much as I thought with motivation.

ShadowLion-I actually miss home, me and the suburbs we don't get along. For one....I like to do crazy things, lately I've been sneaking out to chase coyotes late at night. Why? Because it's fun :P

I'm kind of anti social, I prefer dealing with animals rather people, unless it has to do with games then I'm good!

I was surprised when I compared my pics, I didn't think I actually made a difference. But I know I'd be thinner if my stomach didn't hang like that because of the loose skin. I hope it goes away, I want flat abs!

Afternoon:

3 POP pilates vids

#50 sandbag: Clean and Press: 10x4 Squat: 30x4 Bent Row: 10x3 Sandbag Crunch: 20x3

Handstand Pushup: 10x3 Box Jump: 10x2 Freestyle: Cartwheels, walkovers, handstand to rool etc. 20min.

Carry sandbag for 1 mile hike

Ran 3 miles: 24:12

Rest day today

Breakfast: 2 eggs, 1 sausage, salad, and an orange Lunch: 2 slices of pork, and kale, spinach salad Dinner: Asparagus, Salad, Fish, and cawliflower mashed

Although there is tea in the house, I'm sticking to water. The tea is that Snapple stuff and still has sugar in it, I'm commiting to a no sugar diet. Yes I'll have applsauce (which is organic with apsolutely no sugar added) but it's for the sugar cravings. Also there's Larabars in the pantry, but I'm saving them for hiking or emergency running food.

Cool pictures! I'm rather sad that I completely forgot about it. I was even awake at that point, just not outside. Although now that I think back, I'm pretty sure it was snowing so I wouldn't have been able to see it anyway.

 

Pardon my ignorance, but what's a "combat engineer?" Personally, I think everyone that is bad at math should learn more. Of course, I'm an electrical engineer, so math is kind of my thing. ;)

 

Good luck with the Paleo. I'd like to do a Whole30 at some point this summer, but it's hard to find a whole month when I'm not going on at least one trip where eating W30 compliant wouldn't be a gigantic pain in the neck.

I have combat engineer buddies who have boiled it down to "If it's not there and it should be, build it.  If it's there and it shouldn't be, blow it up."

I honestly don't get that, Paleo is basically meat and veggies. Just order a chicken salad or something, it's been pretty easy for me. And this is my second time, but I'm stricter this round, no cheat meals.

Fonzico-I wanted some wiggle room, but I wanted to build up my willpower and just go clean completely.

Setto Frostwind-Yep! But it's only day 3 of week 1, come and see me week 3 :P

Workout: 3 mile run, with 2x3 pullups and playing on the playground

That's all for the workout, my sis texted me that she wanted to walk so I ran back home. Even though I was planning on running farther. I want her to keep walking without me she won't go far are push hard. But when I got back and waited an hour for her to get ready, she ended up saying she didn't feel like going! I tried to get her to go but she's really stubborn. So I spent the day doing math, studying science, sending applications (I'm tired of those), and helping Nerds.

I am so mentally exhausted it's not even funny.

Tomorrow I'll get up earlier and run again to the park. They had chain monkey bars! So it sank and moved as you try to grab the bar, add it's up and down design and it's brutal. I wanna beat it!

Also found something really cool, the Zombie Race is coming to Temecula November. I so want another medal! So I'll be working towards it. Now to decide whether I want to do Black Ops, or Extreme. Hey Quickdraw, wanna give it a go? Only $35 right now, and even at it's peak it's $50.

Almost forgot! Here's my challenge Elder, I'll do it tomorrow.You all are welcome to take up this burpee challenge....if you've got the stuff to do it!

100 Reps of Bucking Furpees

10 Hurpee Burpees, 10 Four Finger Death Punch Burpees, 10 Animal Style Burpees, 10 Pullup Burpees, and 10 Burpees

Repeat 2x

Standing- jump feet back- 

Push Up

Walk yourself sideways about 3-5 arm lengths (I usually go about 10 feet)

10 Mountain Climbers

Jump feet back up and then jump into the air (Finish ze burpee)

 

That's one.

 

so 4 push up total.

Animal Style

Cat Jump

4 Press up, Dip ups

2 Side Scrambles

I'm doing burpees, too, but I'm a cream puff compared to you.

Oh wow. Those burpees...I looked and that and went "nope nope nope!" But go you! If that's what you're doing now, you're going to kick ass in training.
