I wasn't wearing them. I had my Monday trainers on.

Exhausted tonight. I've failed to eat any fruit today (damn it!) and I've had little time for business stuff - stuff to do around the house for tomorrow and an evening out at Skeptics in the Pub. Rather a busy outing, and quite noisy, leaving me with a rather fuzzy head tonight. I dislike noise and crowds.

A disappointing day, though I knew I wouldn't get very much done. But still... nothing? I will strive to do something tomorrow.

Fruit: orange.

Work: busy. Left at a run to make sure I got the bus.

Tired tonight. Managed to get some business-related work done, but not a vast amount. Planned an outline for my next blog post at work while waiting for an upgrade to take place.

Sleep needed. Zzzz.

Gosh, did I not visit yesterday?

THURSDAY - is running group day! We did speed work. My legs are still not entirely recovered.

Dried mango for fruit. Struggling a bit on fruit lately.

Much of evening was occupied by writing group and preparations therefore, but I did squeeze in a bit of work on my blog giveaway. Determined to do *something* on that every day.

FRIDAY - just got home, more later. No fruit yet - might have to resort to raisins later.

Raisins eaten. Work done on blog document.

SUNDAY:

Fruit - orange.

No work done on the main business side, as I have largely focused on Indieproofing. Very pleased with the effort put in here.

I have a bit of an issue with the blog. My post-in-progress (due up tomorrow) is looking at friendzoning and finding relationships. It briefly looks at pick-up artists and what we can learn from them. And I don't think I can post it at the moment, given the recent news story about this Elliot chap shooting people over his problems with women.

Ah well, it's a bank holiday weekend. I'll have some time in the morning to throw something together.

Oh well. I got an alternative blog post up this morning - literally at the last minute before Mailchimp sent out the update email. Phew!

Tonight I went running again. Another 7km split in two - my stomach was not too wonderful earlier in the day thanks to a too-big lunch, but I managed okay.

First 3.5km was largely downhill - hence my record 8:02 min/mile!

Going back up for the second 3.5km was a lot slower - 9:12 min/mile. So I averaged out at about my usual pace...

CHALLENGE OUTCOME:

1. Faster, Longer, Harder... Running

Attended/ran twice a week, every week, except for week two (no running group that day). I've been pushing my runs up steadily, but I have reached 7km, not 8km as intended. Oh well. I could possibly have pushed harder, but I'd rather make steady, secure progress. 8km will come in time.

Score: B

2. Exercises!

Started out with two sessions a week. Then weeks 3 and 4 only saw one session, as did week 6. Some of this is down to a hectic time at work, but this is just an excuse. As far as the sessions themselves are concerned, they went well. Side planks are horrible (and I may be cheating slightly) but I think it's paying off - stitches whilst running have been fewer and lighter.

Score: C.

3. Fruit!

Daily fruit was achieved every day but one (though I did resort to dried fruit on about three occasions). I can't see myself keeping this up, though I will endeavour to pick up some fruit more often in future than I used to. And I discovered that passion fruit is sweet but messy, and avocados are delicious.

Score: A (close enough!)

4. Business Pursuits

Started out well, though I missed a couple of evenings in the first week as I was getting into the swing of it. Still going! Not finding it easy, and missed a few more recently due to work-based insanity leaving me exhausted. Could have done better.

Score: B, on the grounds that I kept going as much as I did even in my heavier moments.

(I've abandoned the RPG style scoring, as it wasn't inspiring me and just meant tedious calculations.)

In the absence of a newer thread, just wanted to mention I've been for a short run tonight. 20 minutes, not a bad pace (I pushed a little harder). My head was aching a bit before I started and I nearly called it off entirely, but I made an effort to go as long as I could.

Strangely, since getting home, my head is a lot better.
