D- This was not my best week

Be paleo/primal: great except for a large cheat weekend that kind of snowballed

New Recipes: 2/3 YUM!

B

Life:

C

Not my most sterling week. I completely failed my running challenge. I also dropped the ball on my strength training. No excuses, just a fail week. I will do better next.

Though, I am not going to lie. A week off was kind of awesome, if unintentional. I had time to sleep, take care of dumb stupid things, crunch my deadline, and recoup the pulled calf muscle in my leg. I also discovered that my inverted rows have improved and that push-ups with my feet elevated are easier than regular ones with my feet on the ground, and that big girl push ups are now feasible again. Surprise. Maybe the week off was good?

Day 7/Week 4

Fitness:

Running: 0/2 Going out tonight, aiming for a 5k, might squeak in a lap of intervals.

- I will freely admit the reason I am sucking at running is a 100% mental block. Over two weeks ago Dio and I lost one of our two cats to a loose screen while we out running. I am terrified to go out running now because I associate it with my lost cat. I need to get over it.

Strength: 3/3 (workout posted here)

Dance: 2/1

Food:

New Recipes: 2/3

-Third Recipe: Chawan Mushi

Life:

Clean: Got new furniture assembled and in the house. Hurrah. This is making organizing SO MUCH EASIER!

Studio: Have paint!

B- Running still blows, HOWEVER, extra dance and workouts are good, and I am rounding up to a low B because I think I earned it.

Food:

Be paleo/primal: Whoot!

New Recipes: 2/3 Can I just pimp Gojee? Can I? Cause its great. Not only have I found A recipe, I have found dozens! (And I have the eggs for Chawan Mushi, which I will make tonight.)

Life:

Clean: Oh so much good stuff happened!

Studio: Have paint!

Save: $0/$1,000...yeah yeah...

A-

I graded up on a lot of things for several big reasons.

-I have been working hard

-I have identified a lot of blocks/problems

-I am not letting my shortcomings downplay my accomplichments

No, I didn't go running. But I know WHY I haven't, and I'm going to deal with that. But I have also done extra dancing, and extra cooking. I am doing bonus challenge stuff. My life is in pretty great order, despite dealing with my lost cat. I am almost under 160lbs. I am stronger.

I am happy.

That's a great result. I'm getting back on the horse. I'll make it happen. I'm still finishing that 5k in under 30.

Haha, I just spent way too long on Gojee. I am such a recipe whore. XD Thanks for the recommendation!

You are doing so well! You've had so many goals for this challenge, and have a accomplished a lot of them so far. And like you said, you're not falling of the horse despite crappy stuff happening. You. Are. Awesome. :)

Week 5 Check-In

Fitness:

Running: 2/2 Woo Hoo! I made it. I am back on that horse!

Strength: 3/3 :)

Dance: 1/1 Whoooo!

A I am so proud of myself!

Food:

Be paleo/primal: Easy breasy lemon squeezy.

New Recipes: 2/3

B+ Gotta make that last recipe.

Life:

Clean: Bedroom and Studio are the last two rooms that need work.

Studio: Dio pulled a bunch of tape down, and we have paint. Now we just need some time to paint it.

Save: $500/$1,000

A Studio is a bonus, so I am not too worried about it.

I am super proud of myself this week!

-I ran all my runs, and I really, really didn't want to.

-I tried weights for the first time (and enjoyed them)

-I ate well

-My disposition has been amazing. (I am blaming diet and copious amounts of sleep for this one.)

I am being a bit of a jerk and paying too much attention to my scale, but I know I am working hard, and I think my body is looking pretty good (I am starting to get some nice positive attention for it, and hence have discovered that I tend to blush easily), so I can get over it. More than anything, I feel great, and accomplished, and thats all I can ask for, really.

Amazing week! Just reading your update put me in a good mood. :)

I'm still a bit nutty about my weight, though certainly a lot better than I used to be. How often do you weight yourself?

And what sort of recipe do you think you'll make for that last one?

Yay, glad my workout gave you some cheer. I read your workout blog too when I'm not motivated. :)

I weigh myself when I remember to. Sometimes I'll do it three days in a row, sometimes I won't for a week. Depends on where the scale is. I think ours is broken, though, since it comes in at different weights in different places in the house. Usually, I am just more amused with how much my clothing weighs than my actual weight, and will measure myself with and sans articles of clothing to see what I am carrying around all day. (I found out one of my necklaces comes in at half a lb.)

I'm making a Chawan Mushi, or Chinese egg custard, as soon as I have time, which will <crosses finger> hopefully be tonight. Busy weekend coming up.

Great job here! To bad you didn't get the runs in, but I know those are the most challenging for you. The $$ savings are especially awesome! :D Are these all your final scores for the challenge, or just final scores for week 6?
