Super busy weekend was incredibly productive!

Shed built!  Steps painted! Much food prepared and cooked! Laundry done!

 

AND I have a job interview scheduled!

 

10-things for today:

 

  1. exercise
  2. meet with squiddy, head to rapids
  3. Set up dehumidifier
  4. Rip out carpeting
  5. clean up pad and other carpet shit
  6. put magnetic locks on cabinets
  7. finish laundry
  8. wash dishes!
  9. make beverages for Mr. PSG
  10. write

Last few days were productive, despite me forgetting to post the 10-thing lists >.<

 

Lately I have been tracking sleep.  I have a sneaking suspicion that part of the reason my health tanked at my old job was lack of sleep.

 

Last night I went to bed around 11:45pm, fell asleep sometime around 12:15am and woke up at 8:55am.

 

I have been enforcing myself to take a half mile walk after waking.  I want to see how this affects my focus and ability to stay awake and motivated throughout the day.

 

Anyways, 10-things:

1. exercise

2. finish laundry

3. apply for job

4. pull quack grass in the garden round 2

5. write up awards for the donations drive

6. write!

7. put the TV in the entertainment center upstairs and unpack all the retro video game systems

8. respond to reunion paperwork

9. clean cast iron pan

10. dehydrate apples

Obviously what I put off the most is dehydrating food in the dehydrator.  >.<

 

Sleep schedule:

to bed at 11:45.  Asleep a little after 12:00am

Up at 7:52, no alarm

15 minute walk afterwards.  Now: breakfast and coffee!

 

10-things:

1. go to rapids

2. Goo gone the bedroom floor

3. waterproof the basement

4. get gardening tools and put in trunk of car

5. Tape bedroom floor

6. touch up bedroom trim

7. clean cat boxes

8. put laundry away

9. dishes!

10. write!

Sleep tracking:

(a slightly off kilter night)

 

In bed by 11:50pm

Alseep some time after 12:20am

Up at 4:52 (bad storm) - closed all open windows

Back in bed and asleep by 5:00am

Up at 7:50am, walk afterwards.

 

Holiday weekend!

 

Still 10-things

1. go to Rapids

2. 2nd coat of basement waterproof

3. scrape trim

4. paint trim

5. paint over patched wall

6. glue up door trim - need liquid nails that is not hard as a rock...

7. clean cat boxes

8. exercise

9. write!

10. bake banana bread

Up at 6:18am.  I seriously tried going back to sleep because I thought that was whacked out, but was up by 6:23am

Wednesday sleep tracking:

due to company and a bad storm, things got all messed up!

To bed at 1:00am, asleep shortly thereafter.

Up at 6:38 am.  No walk due to rain.

 

Wednesday 10-thing list was similarly messed up due to having to go help my mom get the cat I rescued in high school into the vet.  He has mouth cancer and will be put down in a few weeks.  Very sad, he's a beautiful, friendly cat.

 

Though even without following the list Wednesday was productive:

1. went to Wausau

2. Got brushes and pads for floor cleaner

3. Got floor cleaner

4. Took cat to vet.  :(

5. Visited with Mom and Aunt

6. Bought pork loins and back bacon while still on sale + coupon

7. Cooked beef short ribs

8. finished mittens and blocked

9. mailed job application

10. took a bike ride with fiancee.

Offline at 11:30 pm, to bed by 12:05am.  Alseep around 12:20am

Up at 7:18am.  Walk!

 

 

Today's list is also a little messed up:

1. clean kitchen

2. wash curtains for Rapids house

3. Bring curtains to Rapids house.

4. get Liquid Nails for trim

5. Liquid nails the trim up

6. Paint the white trim

7. get ammonia to clean the floor wax brushes.

8. strip and wax one floor

9. polish one floor

10. exercise

Hooray.  We are four years older, and still back here.

 

The GAINS:
*I have cut all diet soda and splenda from my life.

*I am gainfully employed

*I have SEVERELY cut my sugar intake

*I now take my coffee black, no cream or anything.  This is huge because I drink a LOT of coffee.

 

THE DRAWBACKS:

*I am 15 pounds heavier than when I started this thread.  I now have two little belly rolls to get rid of instead of one.

*Gainfully employed, yes.  Like my job?  No.  Not one bit.

*I now have severe eczema on my legs which comes from something dietary.  I think it might be soy, but I'm still in the process of elimination.

 

THE GOALS:
*I want to run a 5K in under 36 minutes to beat my best time from 2015.

*I want to reach an eventual weight goal of 135 (down from a start of 167)

*I want to get my eczema under control

*I need to find a new job

 

THE PLAN:

*track all calories.

*Step up exercise from 2/week or a minimum of 4/week

*Limit alcohol!

*Limit restaurant meals

*Revise resume

*Get new references

*Starting in August Apply for at least 1 job / week

Ok, have to vent.

 

I have been doing *really good* on both IF, diet and exercise.

 

But for the past two days I have been at a work training and OMG I have never seen a group of people inadvertently trying to sabotage my diet more than my co-workers.

 

The offered breakfast?  Chocolate covered donuts and chocolate chip muffins.

Lunch day 1?  Pizza and brownies

Afternoon snack?  Ice cream bars.

Dinner was our choice

Afterwards?  My boss tried to give everyone cookies...

Breakfast day 2?  Donuts and chocolate muffins again.

Lunch day 2?  Chinese takeout and cookies

Afternoon snacks? Root beer floats

Beverages?  All sugared sodas.

Also a snack table filled with all manner of sugared and savory processed junk food.

Oh, and a fruit bowl.  Thanks.

 

And when I gently asked the person who planned snacks/meals if next meeting we could have some low sugar options she snobbily told me that they had a form for 'special dietary requests'

 

When the F*$% is asking to cut back from dessert for breakfast, dessert at lunch and dessert after lunch  per day a "special dietary option?!"

I told her that I had packed my own food this training and would happily do so again, but honestly when ALL your co-workers are eating root beer floats and teasing you for sitting there drinking black coffee with "weird stuff" (MCT oil) in it - that is humiliating.

 

Very unhappy right now.

I had a great day today!

started the day with a protein filled breakfast, ran a 5K at 8am and got my personal best time ever!

Then a bike ride, a few hours knitting with friends and middle eastern food for a late lunch.

 

Now it's time for an evening walk, the some DnD and I'll fionish my homemade bone broth tonight for an amazeballs soup tomorrow.

 

I wish all days could be like this!

Have new job.

Lost 50 pounds

Ran a sub-30-minute 5K in July

Signed up for my first half marathon the end of August.

Life is good.
