bananandrea
Well. I have been MIA on these boards for more than a minute. I could lie and say it was because I was on some awesome ninja challenge. But I wasn't. I had a lot go on recently... Starting with my entire life being flooded- literally. I lost nearly everything that I owned. Had to quickly find a place to stay. Most recently I have been hospitalized for migraines and dehydration. Not to mention a whole bunch of other things that I can't even get into. But that's not the point of this. I need to get back on track. I need to get healthy. I am assuming that with getting healthier and stuff my dehydration and migraines will possibly decrease. And my anxiety. Hopefully being healthier will help me think straight and be less stressed. So my goals this challenge are very basic. I just want to get healthier. If I lose weight in the process it would be great. I am going about this with an 85% or so Paleo. I am going the no grains route but I am still eating dairy. I am going to keep active. Work out once or twice a week but go for lots of walks and such. Like I said, this challenge the goal is mostly to get back on track and not necessarily lose weight. That's for the next challenge Make today your someday~~~"It's a lifestyle - train like there's no finish line~~~"I hated every minute of training, but I said, don't quit. Brometheus
Good to see you back! Just a heads up, dairy can trigger migraines (as well as gluten/sugar). So I'd recommend making sure you cut out all omega-6 oils (inflammation source), getting rid of the grains (obvious with the paleo), and cutting dairy as well. You might try adding it in again after 30 days, but I bet that would be a good start to at least eliminate the symptoms. Ghee is one way you can have butter, but I'd suggest cooking with tallow, bacon grease, or coconut oil instead. Have fun with the challenge Link to comment

Handing out fliers door to door inviting people to my church. It was actually fun. I MUST MUST MUST get my room cleaned before I go back to work on Monday. Gotta clean out my car too. And find my fall stuff... It's finally hoodie weather here! Thanks again for all the support, y'all. bananandrea
Today is off to a good start! I am having bacon and eggs currently. Hard boiling some eggs for the week. Gotta get A LOT done today in preparation for a friend's wedding tonight. I am pumped. I plan on doing a lot of cardio- as in dancing- tonight. Get your mind out of the gutter y'all! Lol. bananandrea
So this weekend has been rough. I danced the night away at the wedding- but had some red velvet cake. And today... I found out that my grandpa passed away last night. He had been sick for awhile and I know that he is in a better place with no pain... but it was kind of unexpected and I didn't get to say goodbye. I also feel like crap cause I was always saying that I am going to write them a letter- cause they write me alllll the time... and I always was too busy. And now it feels like it is too late. I guess the moral of the story is take the time to do the little things- cause you don't know when time will be out... So I am trying to not stress eat too much. Even though I am heartbroken and sad. Alethea
So sorry to hear of your grandfather. Write him a letter anyway. You go to church so you know he'll appreciate it... and probably be amused. Just wanted to say... as a fellow rebel also trying to get stuff on track.... You are awesome and you can do it!
