Which is my weak time of day. I can substitute but it's holding on to the habits when I'm tired/stressed/ill and getting back onto the horse after falling off that I find difficult. My problem time is definitely once it's dark out. As soon as the sun goes down I just want to do evil things like order a pizza. It's also because I think I've linked relaxing at the end of the day with junk food; so it's always a time when I get antsy. It's almost 6pm right now and I'm almost starting to feel like that- which is why I'm on the forums. 2 Link to post

By the time Ive finished work, done my run and my ride, fed and watered the furbabies, cleaned the litter trays and done some housework, I grab my pre measured dinner and heat and eat...then I grab my latest creative project and work on that for the (maybe) half hour to an hour before bed while I relax. Dont have a chance to eat bad things then. I have gone back to making sure I drink 1 L before noon ( after my cup of Java) 1L between noon and 4-5 and then 1 more before bed. I still have a glass of wine 2-3 times a week and I can't have it if I didn't drink the water. When I slacked last challenge I noticed that the late afternoon/evening munchies came back. I can either want to eat kit-kats, or I can see how awesome people are doing and feel better. Agree 100%. Once something becomes, "I can't." or 'not allowed', there's the instant taboo to break it. I've heard from someone that it's kind of like the 'bad boy syndrome'. You shouldn't be dating that guy- ergo, instantly want to do exactly that. I have yet to find an acceptable substitute. I had to break my habit with salt. I've never been a heavy salter in general, but on certain foods I can't get enough. Potatoes in any form and pasta are my main culprits. I got to the stage of putting soy sauce on my chips and then wondered why I was so thirsty...These days I have an occasional sprinkle of sea salt as a treat, and have cut back on the soy sauce habit. I've not found a good substitute for crisps. Again, I use them as a treat rather than not allowing myself any, and while I'm tracking calories only if it doesn't take me over my limit. I want to be strong and lean, and I would love to stop eating meat if I can. This is my first challenge here and it has been a rocky start for me, and not as in the movie Rocky where Sylvester Stallone kills it, but as in the Rocky Mountains rocky. Or, sit down you're rockin' the boat rocky. Not good is what I'm saying. But, we press on! Right? RIGHT?! Mine as well. I crave the salt terribly sometimes and I'm actually eating some now and I just ate dinner. I have yet to find an acceptable substitute. I love potato chips (really potatoes in any form) and I too continue to search for something that is close to the same. I can get through a whole bag of family sized chips in a day if I'm not careful - mindless eating has been a huge fault of mine. I try now to be very conscious of the food I'm putting into my mouth. Some days it works, some days it doesn't. I've heard people salt eggplant and turn them into chips, along with other fruits and veggys. For now- to cure my 'crunch' cravings, I have some sweet potato chips that don't have anything gross in them along with some tuna fish. That's my movie-snack when I'm watching terrible horror movies like GhostQuake, and BloodShed. 'You can fail at what you don't want. People are afraid and don't want to fail with something they love, so instead they keep it preserved as a pristine dream and think 'some day.' I'm tired of pushing things back in life.
