Arya Sapphire
I need to clean my room too.. I managed to keep it nice for about 3 weeks, and now it's gone back to mess. Gah! well done on getting yours done Arya! Thank youuuu! I know it can be so easy to just overlook it and tell ourselves ''ah, well it's been done'' and then... you wake up one day and realize how messy it has become, haha. We have to channel our inner Miss Clean, haha. ;P Thanks! I will definitely need it, at the moment I've just been working on my planking, upper body and cardio, but I've noticed major differences already, e.g. I've gained half an inch on my arm despite losing weight Oh my god, that's so cool! And planking is such a good exercise for the arms (well the whole body actually), it's crazy! I'm not surprised you're gaining muscle, you seem to be doing everything right to become stronger. Congratulations on the push up!! Thank you so much! Arya Sapphire
Day 6 of the challenge: So obviously, the second I saw that Neila Rey had put on a Black Widow workout, I knew I had to do it! I printed it at work and brought it home with me. I did 3 sets with certain moves modified, my time was 23:22:14 for the whole circuit (not counting my rest in between sets). Oh, I really really liked it! But I'm so in love with Natasha Romanoff that I might be biased. I have to say I was sweating buckets at the end, but that might also be because it was 5 o' clock and the sun was beaming right in my face. After the workout, I went for a walk/run outside. The weather was beautiful, but man did I struggle. My 90 seconds of running were REALLY REALLY difficult today. I could feel my heartbeat like crazy. I normally run in the morning or on a threadmill so it might be why. Or the fact I barely had any sleep last night? I don't know I don't know, but I finished it: 2.16 miles with an average pace of 11'15 miles/per hour. Week 2 Day 2 of C25k is done! Food wise: They were buying burritos for everyone at my work place and I politely declined saying I had my own food. They all told me I'd regret it but honestly, I'm fine. I didn't cry for a burrito, which I might have done in the past. (I never said I'm sane) For my post-workout/dinner, here's a picture and I was too eager to eat so I didn't even wait for my brussel sprouts to stop steaming, haha. (veggie burger on a portobello mushroom, with brussel sprouts and spicy/tangy sautéed spinach with tomatoes and onions; it was yummy!) Week 1 goals: Strength training: 3 in 3 (with a bonus of a BW workout as well ;D)Jogging: 2 in 3Takeouts: 2Life quest: I didn't clean more in my room today because it still looks good. Woot woot! I've only had them one way (oven-roasted w/ balsamic vinaigrette) and they were amazing. Haha, thank you! It's so true! It's really hard to say no when people offer you free food but my body felt better eating my own cooked meals. :-D Yesterday's brussel sprouts were really boring, haha. I bought them frozen since there weren't any at the market or grocery store and I was craving them. So I boiled them and just let them marinate afterwards in some lemon and pepper. Normally I do like roasting them and then marinating them in some spicy mustard, the French way. ;D Oven-roasted with a balsamic vinaigrette does sound super delicious though! Arya Sapphire
Early update for Day 7: Gah, I woke up today and just could not bring myself out of bed to go run. I just couldn't. Aminarra
great week Arya! Keep up the good work. I have to tell you a funny story about brussels sprouts... I HATE them. But I thought that perhaps my tastes have changed since I'm an adult now. When I was a kid, we'd get canned brussels sprouts and they'd always be over-cooked and mushy. I thought that if I bought them fresh, roasted them, and psyched myself up to actually like them, it would work. So, I went through all that work of getting fresh sprouts, roasting them with EVOO and a little salt, took a giant bite....... and then gagged, made the worst 'yuk' face and choked it down. THEN! I thought that maybe sriracha would make it taste better.. because hot sauce makes *everything* taste better... ugh, nope. Gagged, shuddered, and had to dash to the trash to spit it out. rofl Guess some things don't change 1 Aminarra, level 2 RangerMain Quest: Stay Focused! No, YOU'RE awesome.Battle Log | Current ChallengeSTR 2|DEX 1|STA 2|CON 3|WIS 3|CHA 4 Link to comment
