So my last challenge went both good and bad, good in the sense I was sticking with some of the workouts, eating better, discovered that nightshades are not my friend...but that darn c25k kicked my tail (again). They say third time's a charm, so this challenge is looking like this:

A – C25k, 18 workouts (3x week - 6 weeks)
B – Skipped 1-3 runs
C – Skipped 4-6 runs
D – Skipped 7-9 runs
F – Skipped more than 9 runs
 
A – Yoga (or other workout), all 12 workouts
B – Skipped 1-2 workouts
C – Skipped 3-4 workouts
D – Skipped 5-6 workouts
F – Skipped more than 6 workouts.
 
Trying to focus on doing a little homework each night as well, so I'm not trying to get it all done on the weekend when I want to do other things, especially since summer is here!! I need to find a 5k to train for so I have some motivation! 
Some of my challenges this time will be work, my new job just gave me new responsibilities, as in now I'm in charge of the kitchen as well as my accounting duties...should be interesting...given the 2 hour commute I may need to find more hours in the day...
Putting these here so I can find them at the end of this...

Is there a way to grade the homework part?  You have a nice setup for the yoga and c25k but nothing for the homework.  Like maybe setting aside 30 minutes to work on stuff per day or something?

Is there any way to make the commute into something useful?  Can you study?  Listen to an audio book or something?

Great idea getting a little bit of homework done each day. I've been pulling some marathon homework sessions lately, and they are brutal.

Can you do something productive on your long commute, like listen to podcasts/books related to your studies? Or is it at least a relaxing time for you? In my experience, commutes can range from the WORST THING (when they are trafficky) to a pretty okay transition between home and work (smooth sailing drive with some nice tunes or a fun book). No matter what, that is definitely a huge time sink, yikes.

Hello!  School plus work and commute is quite the load.

There is, and I probably should, last time I was trying the 'as long as I do SOMETHING' which turned into opening the chapters I was supposed to read that week...30 minutes each night (except Tuesday, I'm giving myself a pass on that night because it's the beginning of the school week and everything is due Monday)

Yes, round trip, only an hour each way...oh and my a/c bit the dust (the compressor) ugh...but I'm looking at a new vehicle, so keep your fingers crossed my girlfriends credit will allow her to co-sign for me...

I probably could do this, but I despise them, I would much rather read than be read to, and I'm working on my Masters of Accountancy...that would put me to sleep which would not be good while driving! LOL...I don't mind the drive, rather enjoy it actually, it's my "gear up" and "decompress" time

Not really, we both have full time jobs and I'm going to school online for my masters...we take turns cooking, when it's our 'off' week we look for recipes to try and ones we like and make our 'menu' for the week, I print and hang it on the fridge so I know what to take out in the morning for that night. From that we create the shopping list, really two sections of the store (fresh and meat, a little frozen) by now we know what brands we can use that come in a can or jar on the shelf....I generally bake a bunch of sweet potatoes and keep them in the fridge, then we just peel and fry them in coconut oil and scramble some eggs in the morning for breakfast. Plan leftovers from dinner for lunch the next day, dinner is usually meat and a veggie, I generally 'rice' up some cauliflower in the food processor to have on hand, I use this method to cook it so it's less soupy.

One of the nice things I've noticed about eating healthier is the boyfriend and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen together working on dinner.  It's kinda nice.  Even so, with your schedule, I'm amazed you have time to do anything.

Very nice!  And thanks for the link.  My last attempt at Cauliflower rice was..... wet.  What's your masters in?

Accounting, and yes, most of my attempts were as well till I found this! My two youngest kids like this better than regular rice

 

One of the nice things I've noticed about eating healthier is the boyfriend and I spend a lot of time in the kitchen together working on dinner.  It's kinda nice.  Even so, with your schedule, I'm amazed you have time to do anything. 

That is a wonderful side effect :) we do not have much of a social life, especially during the week, so work and food is pretty much all we do LOL

 

Yesterday I had a 'wild hair' moment...I have been missing the sand and salt water, my son who is with us this summer (before joining the Navy) said he would rather go to the beach than the water park (so my kid! lol) So we took a drive in the new wheels to the beach, soaked up some sun, then went to The Shed to eat, and came home...that was definitely needed....

I have not started off well on this challenge at all. Since my surgery in January I have not been doing HRT and it has majorly caught up with me. I have had no energy, have not been sleeping, and concentration has been out the window. Combine that with my new duties at work (and lets not forget school)and working out has taken a back seat to all of it....

So I went to the Dr., got some blood tests and am hopefully on the road to fixing this issue, I know for the last 2 nights I have slept better than ever and my focus has greatly improved, as have my energy levels, problem is we are two weeks into the challenge! Meaning I cannot miss anymore workouts since I already have a C...and I have 3 5k's I want to do starting in just over 8 weeks (as long as the c25k program is!) So I'm going to 'back up and punt' and start over...
