Hi everyone!

Andy here from Cardiff.

Looking forward to completing my first challenge.

I am looking for someone as an accountabilitybuddy to swap texts as wifi has broken on my phone if anyone is interested?

I used to do a lot of Aikido, Judo, wrestling and weightlifting but somehow the last 5 years have whizzed by.

I am interested in learning tai chi and more yoga. My challenge mainly involves high rep / low weight resistance training.

Speak to you soon!

I would love to learn aikido; it is something I wanted to do with my daughter.  But martial arts are generally pretty expensive it seems, and the closest aikido is a long bus ride away.  Wish I could just download the information into my brain matrix-style.

Hi Xanrja,

I tried a few martial arts since I was a kid but Aikido was great. It was actually Welsh Ki Akido. There are lots of different branches, for example Yoshikan is a very true/ pure form. I tried it but it was very aggressive for me.

Ki aikido suited me better. It focused a lot on form. It also being Welsh Aikido, they streamlined it for our way of thinking. Instead of a technique being called - Shomen - uchi ikkajo Osae and me thinking 'crap which hand is that' It was called ikkajo - first form and I was like 'ok got it'. The structure made it easier to learn.

Give it a go, normally the first lesson is free. Women are normally better at it too.

Thanks for the support. How do I make a link to my challenge by the way?

Hey Devlin,

That's a good question. It was weight loss, but after looking around the net, asking some questions and reading a book/ blog of a guy with a PhD (and he is shredded).... My head is spinning a bit.

To get my body fat percentage down, I am going to have to have more lean muscle going on. So I might have to rethink my plan.

I think this link might work Xanjra.

The guy, Jim, his workout is here

I can't do exactly what is set here, but I like some of the ideas. Even looking at it now, I am thinking on how I can adapt it around what my back will let me.

Yeah stoppanis stuffs good, do you already have a base? honestly building strength worked best for me. I've dropped a decent amount of fat just doing strength training and focusing on diet.
