I envision this thread (and its iterations in each subsequent challenge) to be a place where we can just hang out and get to know each other. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Do you want to join? Guild is unimportant. Anyone is welcome. However, you must have a long term goal that carries over challenges. For example, a large amount of weight to lose. We would like to have the same people join challenge after challenge (or month after month) in the hopes that we can build friendships and really get to know each other, in order to support each other better. If this sounds like something you would like to be a part of then be welcome! Rubydaisies Posted June 6, 2014 Report Share Posted June 6, 2014 I would love to join you guys. I have a long term goal of losing 50kg. I am 23 years old and a Masters student working part time. I have spent so much time looking after people in my life that i decided to be selfish and look after myself for now. Currently I am according to my BMI in the morbidly obese catagory (41.3) and I weigh 132.8 kg which makes me quite intimidating apparently as I am quite tall for a girl (5'11'') I literally cannot remember I time when I was not larger than the people my age be it being taller or later being taller and weighing so much more. So now it is time for me to focus on myself and get my stuff sorted because I have my entire life ahead of me and I am now making that change. A lot more calories than a weight watchers meal (I may or may not have wrapped the chicken in bacon!), but no nasty chemicals, so yay me! How about everyone else? Having a good day? Watcher of too many bad sci-fi movies, enthusiast of too many tabletop RPGs, and cruel abuser of the exclamation point button! I'm on a long mission (like most people here, it would seem) to drop a boatload of weight. I' divvying it up into chunks for now, but my primary goal is to hit 200. Althooooough since I'm getting married come April, I'm more or less changing my goal to lose enough so I can fit in a size 16 wedding dress. I have roughly 100 lbs to lose to be considered 'not overweight.' Umm...I'm not sure what all I'm supposed to say about myself. Married to my extra nerdy and awesome husband and have a 12 month old who keeps us busy and awake at night (still...sigh).
