Possibly silly question, but how's your running form? Specifically, what part of your foot are you landing on? I was getting what I assume were shin splints when I started but Google told me I was heel striking and that was bad. Now I still suck at running, but I don't get those pains anymore!

Yaaaaaaay new challenge! *waves flag*

Hooray for your new challenge!

I like how you adapted your goals. Sleep will help with eating habit, too, I think. I find I crave/eat more sugar when I am tired.

That is a very good question.  I may very well heel strike.  I will try to work on it.

Thanks for the heads up!

This is killing me with cuteness!

And excellent goals for this challenge! I know nothing about running so I can't help you there. I tried running last year and ended up injuring my foot, which still gives me problems, so I'm the last person to give advice. But I'll pop in and give encouragment!

There is never a sudden revelation, a complete and tidy explanation for why it happened, or why it ends, or why or who you are. You want one and I want one, but there isn't one. It comes in bits and pieces, and you stitch them together wherever they fit, and when you are done you hold yourself up, and still there are holes and you are a rag doll, invented, imperfect. And yet you are all that you have, so you must be enough. There is no other way.

I get the feeling we're gonna be killing it this challenge! About the running, gel insoles might help too. They can do wonders!

I never really had small animals, the cutest thing my dog ever did was take my brother for a short flight....

Well hello there! Nice looking goal  :) I'm almost done that book you sent me, it was hilarious!

Are you going along the same track to achieve your goal as the last challenge morphed into for you?

Take a look at the sole of your running shoe, it'll tell you where you're striking.

You reminded me I need to take vitamins! I always forget!

Ooo nice tip.  Thank you.  At the moment my trainers are telling me that I strike mud a lot!  Went on a little off-road hikey-poos (hike for newbies) with my sister yesterday.  Trod in all sorts, got tangled in vines and got caught by a storm!  Such fun.

I am going to run a 5K on the 29th too :)

I like that gradual eating plan.  By week 6, you should pretty well on your way to eating all clean ;)

I know you are, I have been watching you.

How far along on your training are you?  I am at week 6 run 2 (that will be tomorrow morning), using Zombies, Run 5k.  I have the stamina to complete the whole 5k without wanting to die, but I can't run for more than a couple of mins at a time.  My sister thinks it is all in my head and calls me a wuss!

Any tips?

You have lost 20lbs so far? In what amount of time? Great Job!

Love the new challenge. Subbed of course. Can't wait to see your progress this time!

Yeah.  It is taking ages.... but this time it is staying off for good so I am not getting too stressed.  My graphs say it took 20 weeks.  It was definitely not a lovely smooth line though!

I think I do have gel insoles hanging around somewhere that I have never tried.  Thanks for the heads up!

Glad you are enjoying it!  Hopefully you will be running marathons soon.   :playful:

I think my last challenge (and all the lovely people that commented) taught me that it is less frustrating if I focus on the journey rather than the scales.  So although my goal is still a weight loss thing and I am still in a relationship (its complicated) with the scales; I am trying to take baby steps toward a lifelong food and exercise plan (Habit? Relationship?).
