He also wants to serve as inspiration for his larvae who just turned 8 and is already saying things like "I need to go on a diet" so he needs to get that over with right quick! He also needs to get all of his amazing ideas out of his head and into the world where others can see them (and judge them...that's scary, maybe I'll keep em in my head). To this End he will be doing the HOMESTAR RUNNER CHALLENGE! MAIN QUESTPrimary purpose here? to borrow from another game, currently I want to set the Normandy SSV pull up record, currently held by Commander Shepard (cheater, he/she [however your Shep is] is a cyborg after all) at 183, I also want to be one of those attractive people I keep hearing about, I understand I should get in shape for that? lol but I also want to be ready for it all, the apocalypse is coming you know, zombies or economic collapse, I don't want to end up like Aaron on Revolution(but also, in an agrarian society without modern conveyance and then walking clear across the country....how did Aaron stay fat?) I want to be Joel on Last of Us (minus the existential crisis time spent as a terrible murderous human being and the implied period of cannibalism) SUPPORTING QUESTS Be Strong, Like Strong Bad! Getting as strong as Strong Bad requires lifting heavy things!Strength train 3x a week I have been using free weights for a couple months now, I need to get heavier plates for the office gym, or join a regular gym, the focus is: * 5 lifts comprising all the functional movements (can someone confirm?) : Squat, Bench Press, Overhead Press, Pull Ups, Deadlift * On days with no weight access body weight routine! squats, push ups, pull ups/rows, lunges, something for shoulders (pikes maybe? handstand practice?)Scoring: 1 point per session, over a 6 week session this should add up to 18 points, based on a percentage of that (STR-3) Run like Homestar!- Running, it isn't as bad, I need to finish up the couch to 5 k program (I have 5 weeks left), and I'll do the first 3 sessions of Zombies RUN! when I finish that up, by the end of this challenge, running for half an hour solid!!Scoring: 1 point per session, over a 6 week session this should add up to 18 points, based on a percentage of that (END-5) Banish The Cheat from my Diet-Diet: moving to a simpler easier to manage scoring system because I have a hard time with this stuff lol, 4 little rules and two exceptions1. No snacks!2. No Sweets!3. No Seconds!4. No Soft Drinks! (defined as non water)EXCEPT!1. On some days that start with S2. For my Caffeine which will consist of either zero calorie energy drinks or black coffeeScoring: I'll get a +1 for each cheat meal, as long as I don't go over 6 (one for each day I am allowed) points then I get an A, minus 1 grade point for each additional! (WIS-2 CON 2) (WIS because I will have finally figured out a dieting schema that works for me) LIFE QUEST Get with Compy to do Games and stuff for cool people!Working on gamey stuff! Play some more with Unity, do the next 2 tutorial projects, and get started on my own game! They are an excellent counter balance to bench press (horizontal push vs, pull)Without them, you 1) don't balance pushing (as you said) and 2) don't get a complete workout for your back. You need a pull from the floor (deadlift variant), pull from above (pull up variant) and a horizontal pull (row variant) if you really want to work your back appropriately. Depends on your definition of 'functional' I suppose. I like 'basic.' 6 basic lifts. Link to comment

I don't know how I did week 4?Week 6: Hmm? I'm not dead... Week 7 and on: I'm a runner! Seriously, get through weeks 4 and 5 knowing that they are the real test. (I've been working hard...I know I'm late...whatever lol) DIET: my biggest problem, and greatest foe, I have held my own, I have not succumbed to the siren song of cookies, and ice cream, and cake, and chocolate, but only through sheer white knuckle determination, hopefully this gets easier, one day at a timeI have done weights on monday and will be doing them, shortly after posting this actually, hopefully before the 3 pm stand up I will be done lol as for running, I am redoing week...4 of the c25k, so I will do weeks 4-end this challenge...my heart nearly exploded yesterday lol, so I stopped, switched to week 4 and did that, I also need a no loafing sign in my house...if only to remind myself that my muffin top should new evolve back into a pound cake (hee hee) OH!
