This is my first Warriors challenge despite lifting the heavies for a while.

 

Diet

  • Finish Whole30 with LoBro
  • Stay Gluten Free
  • Continue to play with macros til I find what works for me
  • Increase my metabolism slowly by adding calories on a weekly basis

Exercise

  • Continue 3x a week
  • Flirt with 5/3/1 program to see how it works for me
  • add in Oly lifts

Life

  • Allot time to relax, read a book and or learn. My brain needs to be exercised as well. This may well show up in this thread a fair piece as I might word vomit all over this thread

 

Current Numbers / Goals

OHP               95# / 110#

BackSquat     170# / 200#

Deadlift          190# / 205

Bench            120# / 135#

Clean              85# / 100# 

Snatch            55# / 65# <-- Needs Form Focus

Front Squat    125# / 150#

 

 

With any luck, this should be a stay at home challenge. I don't have any events or trips during this 6 weeks. The next trip is 9/11/14 to chicago for rucking.

There's a primal-ness to the dynamic nature of oly lifts. I can't get enough. Unfortunately I have a bad habit of putting them AFTER a StrongLifts session which invariably seems to end with me hitting myself in the jaw with the bar or falling over. Welcome!

Whole 30 Day 10 - Success

 

Lunch:

 

Pork Chops with grilled veggies

 

Dinner

Ruby trout with roasted broccoli and sliced pork belly

 

Snacks

Carrots, Plantain chips and Whole9 Pork Rinds

Workout:

Rest Day

 

Spread through the day :

Pushups GTG style

 

Set 1: 10, 12, 8, 8, 12

Set 2: 10, 12, 8, 8, 12

 

90second rest between sets

 

Also hamster wheeled it for 25 minutes, ran a mile non-stop for the first time in 10 years, walked a quarter mile, then ran another quarter.

I need to learn to stretch before running as my lower back on the right side was tight from about a quarter mile on.

 

2 sets No Rest

30 4-ct Flutterkicks

10 Jackknives

Guuuuuuys.  I need ideas. My alarm is waking me up but in my drowsy state I'm turning it and all the subsequent alarms off. Since I'm a morning person already I'm still waking up with plenty of time to shower and get ready for work however my morning gym session gets pushed to the evening.

 

Any tips for getting out of bed when the clock goes off?

Maybe. I have no bedroom furniture beyond a bed, so it'd be on the floor.

 

 

What time are you trying to get up? I find having someone harass the crap out of you can make you get up. But it doesn't work well if the sound is off on your phone. I also find it easier to get up if someone else is expecting me to do so.

Have you tried a quite music alarm - one that's not obnoxious enough that you want to pitch it out the window first thing, but loud enough to wake you up slowly?

I've been doing this the past week with Concerning Hobbits as the go-to song, and it's been helping a bunch

No, but I do have the vibrate option set on my alarm so it vibrates first.

Would it help you get up if you had to get up to get someone else up? And/or would you be willing to settle for 5:30?

 

Basically I am evaluating my morning schedule and that is apt to include getting up earlier. And I know it would help me if I knew I was being depended upon to text you as I'm trying to get up so that you get up, too.
