Up for next challenge: Merrill Down N Dirty 3-miler OCR, Color Run 5k, mini-vacation, finally getting important adult things accomplished (like wills and sexy stuff like that). Possibly more chucking of the shit. Probably more pants shopping. Hopefully a real, full and un-assisted pull-up (or at least chin-up).

Next challenge looks like it'll be nice and tough. And pull ups! I love that goal. I'm starting to become a pull up fan now that I can do them reliably. Plus, you need that over the head hanging position to swing properly from your bat-grapple.

HasFit's 20 Minute Resistance Band Workout, which kicked my ass. I used the medium strength band and couldn't do all the movements (especially the tricep business) but plugged away. Today, I almost have T-Rex arms.

I'll admit it: I'm an Apple fangirl. After waiting foorrreeevvvverr for the Apple conference to start and then obsessively checking Mashable's live update stream of the event, and then spending time watching every video I could find on the new phone & watch, I was too distracted to do a "real" workout. So, I grabbed the little one and headed for the park - where he wanted to do hill climbs and run/walks. We got a good half hour in and called it a day.

I know, right? Whyyyy have unstructured workouts been impossible before? Wtf was my major malfunction? Seriously. Hopefully that is past and I can continue on this great track. :) 

 

And the socials ... I did good, but I didn't push myself like I had intended. I need to go to more social events. Baby steps and anywhere out of my comfort zone is good; I just need to continue this track + push it further.

Acupuncture day, and man was I feeling it from skipping last week. While walking there, huuuuuge hip twinges/pain - and acupuncture was uncomfortable (mostly because I can't help but wiggling and the table kept making my face numb -- adjusting while there are acupuncture pins in your neck/shoulder + hip is not the most comfortable thing to do ever).
